With around a dozen variations of Lightning Link, they aren’t all the same. A player wants to know about their volatility:
Of all the Lightning Link games (Lightning Cash too), which one is most volatile, and which one is less volatile?

Lightning Link and Lightning Cash are effectively the same game, just without a linked Grand jackpot, so we can discuss both as a unit. This advice will also work for similar games on Dragon Link/Cash, with the caveat that all of the bonuses on those games are limited to six spins, unlike Lightning Link where they can vary.
It’s also helpful to know that the games are developed in pairs. There’s two of each type of game, with the same structure and just different visuals.
The most volatile of the free spins is easily the Heart Throb/Tiki Fire pair. This is because their wilds have multipliers, and the multipliers build when there’s more than one wild on a line. You can get up to 16x, which can yield hefty wins.
But when the wilds aren’t cooperating, it often yields a pretty limited win in the free spins. Add to that you only get six spins on this bonus, and it’s a toughie.
A much smoother ride is the free spins found on Moon Race and Best Bet, which remove the poker symbols and feature stacks of just the premium symbols. You also get 10 spins, which is more time to line something good up, get the hold and spin bonus or retrigger.
This bonus has no multipliers, no mystery symbols, etc., so it’s about as simple as it gets, and effectively acts as a baseline bonus for the series.
The other bonuses will fall somewhere in between, whether it be the giant symbol on the middle three reels on Magic Pearl and High Stakes, the mystery symbol on Wild Chuco and Bengal Treasures, the additional wilds and free spin potential on Sahara Gold and Happy Lantern, or the expanding wilds on Bengal Treasures and Eyes of Fortune.
The diversity of the bonuses is one of the things that makes these game series so playable – there’s a lot of diversity even within the same structure, which means you get different game experiences that keeps it novel and fresh.
And even on newer games like Lightning Dollar Link, they’ve rolled out new bonus types such as the cloned reels on reels 1-2 and 4-5, which has its history in the Aristocrat games but appears for the first time on the game series.
So those would be our picks for most and least volatile, but all have their pros and cons!
