I get a lot of questions from fans, and while we answer a question every day in You Asked!, sometimes I get questions that don’t make sense for a dedicated post. For those, we’ll have these occasional round-ups where I can answer some of your questions about me!
How do you generally pick a machine to play?
It’s whatever catches my eye. It could the artwork, the colors, the jackpot amounts – or what I saw a fellow Rudies member win on!
Do you get stressed out after losing a lot of money?
I’m become pretty numb over the years to the value of money, which is a good thing and a bad thing.When I used to be crushed after losing $5,000 over a weekend, it’s more like $25,000 now. That said, my entertainment budget has increased, so I’m always careful with my money and don’t spend outside of that. Bills come first, entertainment second!
If you won a million dollars on one of the high limit slots, would you still work?
Absolutely I would. I love my job, and it would be out of character for me to stop based on a big win. Would I gamble more? Perhaps.
How in the world do you do your taxes?
I did them the first year. And have relied on my accountant ever since. It’s not too complicated realLy for a gambler, but with a staff of 10 people and hundreds of jackpots, invoices etc, it would be a headache for sure.
How often do you actually gamble?
3-6 days a week. Usually 2 days I film solid in a casino, and 1 day I play online slot. If i’m on a property for events, then my play expands further.
How long do you think you will play slots? Will you do more acting?
I do miss acting. It was always my passion – but it was entertaining a large audience that I desired. So for now, I’m more than content. I have no plans of slowing down my slot channel, however there will be many variations and changes as I like to keep it fresh and not get stale. Maybe in retirement I’ll get back into it.
How do you decide when it’s time to change machines?
I try to put in as much as I wish to lose. $100 bill, or $1,000 in tickets. Since every spin is unique from one to the next, and since I recognize that there is no such thing as a hot or cold machine (it’s all about the microsecond you press SPIN that determines the RNG outcome), I’m not swayed by a losing streak. But to keep my spirits up, it’s good to move when I start to feel the pressure of a loss.
What size shoe do you wear?
LOL, I wear size 13 – which is not as uncommon as it was when I was a child. Most brands would only make up to size 12, but it has become more frequent to get 13’s now. I’ve now got a shoe obsession and am loving collecting them…which is why I assume you’re asking haha.

Hi Cindy! We have updated our cover photo on both Facebook and YouTube to outline the new schedule more clearly. The primary live night will be Wednesday night. Thursdays will most frequently be a live premiere, but there will be some weeks (like when visiting Plaza) where it will be a live stream. And conversely some Wednesdays (such as weeks when Brian’s on a cruise ship) will be premieres. But overall, Wednesday will be a live, and Thursday a live premiere. Hope that helps!
Not a big gambler but I do so enjoy watching Brian’s videos. And by reading these questions they may be very helpful if I can ever afford gambling.

If you feel it best, you could always set up a dedicated account for online transactions, or limit to a specific card, a best practice some people just do in general, but that would be an individual decision. Our team hasn’t encountered any problems throughout the years!

Does stopping the reels during a Dragon Link bonus of any kind, change the outcome of the bonus?
Hey Peggy – in the hold and spin you can’t stop the reels – you’ll notice regardless of if you push the button or not they stop at the same speed. However, when you hit spin to start each spin impacts the outcome, as the bonus is RNG based. You can stop the spins during the free spins, which would impact the timing of future spins, and would therefore impact the bonus, but we’ll never know if it was for the better or worse, and in the end it should average out to be neutral. So do what feels best!
I’m not sure how to ask you a question. I would like to know what you think is an appropriate tip for a $15,000 jackpot. I tipped $300 but the attendant didn’t seem thrilled.
Hi JoAnn! Brian shared his tipping advice here, but basically it’s the better of $20 or 1%. That said, tipping is an individual decision, driven by a variety of factors – how the gambling’s going, how the service was getting paid out, etc.
