A lot of the comments and questions we get at Flip The Switch focus on how players think casinos are taking steps to pay certain players less, such as identifying their players card. So although it falls into the same bucket, we appreciate the more optimistic scenario of casinos wanting to target certain players to pay them more:
Do you think that they track your play, specifically realize it’s you, and gear the machines to have you win more? I do think that they realize the people who play more often have an advantage as the casinos want those people to keep coming back.

Unfortunately when it comes to slots and their payouts, just as they can’t lower payouts because of it being a certain player, they can’t raise them, either. Imagine a world where casino employees could decide who got paid better on slots.
Now imagine they just happen to choose a friend or family member or someone offering them a lovely cash reward for making that possible… and you can get the idea of why those sorts of scenarios can’t exist at all.
Slots have a single payback setting per denomination, and anyone who sits down and plays at that denomination will encounter a game that, in the long term, will reach that payback. That doesn’t mean you’re guaranteed that payback – you can get a jackpot or lose it all – but over millions of spins, that’s what it will approach.
There is a way casinos can take care of their more consistent players, and that can be through the ways they set up casino promotions. For instance, maybe you get an entry for every 100 points you earn. Or maybe you get an entry for every day you visit the casino and swipe. Players who are more frequent or higher volume gamblers get more entries in those scenarios.
We’ve certainly heard from players who get frustrated that they hear the same names getting drawn, but random draws can’t account alone for that – higher entry counts, based on how the promotion is structured, certainly can.
So while casinos can’t pay certain players better on the slots themselves, the structure of promotions can be one way they can at least improve the chances of their most loyal players having an opportunity to win something, while still ensuring any player has a chance, and that the drawings are random and fair.
