Are there any Megaways machines in US casinos?

In terms of official Megaways games in US casinos, we did see one at G2E at Ainsworth’s booth last year, but we have yet to see it on the casino floor. It is on their website, so it may have been released at this point, but that’s the only one we’ve seen.
There are games that have elements of what players like about Megaways slots, such as the variable reel heights, and some also incorporate other aspects like cascading reels or growing multipliers. But they do have distinct differences. Examples of games that have some commonality are:
- Buffalo Gold Max Power
- Da Vinci Diamond Masterpiece
Some of the traditional Megaways aspects simply don’t exist on any of these, such as those extra reel spaces on the middle reels. The amount of ways you can win are different, too, and so on. As such, these are not official Megaways games (and don’t license all the Megaways features either, it should be noted), instead opting to do their own thing.
It’s a common thing for casino game makers to be “inspired” by various trends going on and finding their own path. And then if they’re popular, they’ll keep going. While each of these games did find their footing in casinos for awhile, both didn’t necessarily stick around forever either.
It may continue to take time before some of the more tradition-breaking formats find their footing in physical casinos as the demographics evolve. After all, physical casinos have a space limit that online casinos don’t, so every single game on the casino floor needs to pull their weight or risk being replaced. Online casinos can find a smaller but more dedicated fan base to survive.
