Bets are growing, inflation marches on, and so with that the amount players may want to put in a machine grows as well.
Is there an easier way to get large amounts of cash vouchers other than putting $100 at a time in a machine then hitting cash out when you have the size of voucher you want?
Frankie
There are definitely additional ways to do this nowadays. How you accomplish it may depend on what’s most comfortable for you.
The Cashier
If you’re going to the casino with cash, your best option is likely visiting the cashier. Many casinos are now equipped to not just redeem vouchers, but print them too. They can take in your cash and make vouchers.
This isn’t available everywhere, but it is an option to inquire about, as it’s the easiest if the cash is already in your possession.
The ATM
If you haven’t pulled out the money yet, ATMs like the ones offered in many casinos from Everi can now offer the ability to buy a voucher instead of pull out cash. This can allow you to save a step, instead of pulling money out and then putting it right back into other machines.
When you get to the options screen a new option appears for purchasing a ticket, which Everi calls a QuikTicket. It’s processed as a POS sale, not an ATM withdrawal, which can increase the limits for some players since debit card purchases tend to have a higher daily limit than ATM withdrawals.
Then, instead of getting bills, you are printed a single ticket instead. That change on ATMs that let them print coins out as vouchers has an upside – the machines now can print tickets for withdrawals too!
Cashless Gaming
Although this is not a ticket, the other way to get more money into a machine at once is increasingly a cashless gaming option, since you can transfer as much or as little as you want that way.
With this system, you load an account with the funds for your casino trip first, and then when you get to a machine you insert your players card and transfer funds. Cruisers on cruise lines like Carnival will be familiar with this sort of system, as they rolled it out well ahead of U.S. casinos.
This is still relatively new, and not many casinos have rolled it out yet, but it’s an area to explore if your casino has launched it.
Takeaway
So there’s three ways to more easily fund your slot or other electronic machine without having to feed hundreds in one by one. A casino may not support all of these, but many should support at least one!
