The same process for retrieving the most recent year is generally the case for previous years as well. For casinos that offer a way to download win/loss statements on their website, for instance, it will generally give you a dropdown showing the years that are available. As long as the year you want is available in that format, it should be easily retrieved.
A quick check of both Caesars and MGM showed win/loss statements going back a few years, which included 2022 at the time we answered this question. Most systems will have the win/loss documents fall off after some number of years, usually 5-7, so if you need to go farther back you’ll have to reach out.
There are still some casinos that will let you request a win/loss off their website, but it’s not instantly generated. You’ll fill out a contact form with the needed information, and they’ll get back to you, usually reasonably quickly, with the document you need.
The worst case scenario is a trip to the casino to collect a form in person, not practical if you traveled to play at that casino in the first place, but less challenging if you are nearby. But that can be an option as well.
While most casinos have upgraded their technology over the years to make self service of these options possible, we’ve certainly encountered casinos that haven’t gotten there yet. The methods available will generally be outlined on their website, or can be confirmed with a quick phone call in cases where their site isn’t upfront about it.
