Here at Flip The Switch we share our recommended places to play online. One player wonders how the online slots differ from those in physical casinos:
So casino slots have a random number generator constantly running, if you play online slots through an app such as MGM or Caesars, do they have random number generators too? Is it all about the second you hit the spin button if playing online?

The iGaming sites that allow for wagering with real money listed on our site are playable in certain states, and regulated similarly to physical casinos in those states. So, the long and short of it is it’s still all about timing online.
The game design still uses Random Number Generators, there’s third party testing that affirms how a game pays out over a large number of spins, and games (and game makers) even have to be approved to release games in the market.
Even better, most of the games you play online list in the paytable their long term return to player (RTP) percentage – this is the percentage a game is expected to return to players in the forms of win over the long term. These numbers are, especially for smaller bets, higher than you would see in physical casinos, so there’s that positive as well.
This level of oversight is one reason why we feel comfortable being able to recommend the sites that we do. There’s also certainly less than aboveboard options out there that don’t go through the same level of verification, and that can mean less desirable results for players. So it’s best to stick to the options that are carefully reviewed and vetted by sources like us.
