If you’re on social media, you expect drive-by comments from people who presume to know more than the person creating the content (hi, that’s me)! Here’s one I’ve been hearing a lot, which to be fair, anyone playing slots online and sharing their content is likely getting this a lot right now as well:
Deception! Why do you not tell your audience you sold out and play with casino money. You fools believing this person uses his own money. Online gamblers will end soon.
Jessie O.
Here’s the problem, Jessie: If I told people that I used casino money, I would be lying. So the real deception is your claiming I do otherwise.
Now, I can’t speak for all creators. I can simply speak for myself, and believe honesty is a critical part of the equation. The decisions I make are driven by the imperative to be honest, and show Authentic Play when I am filming slots online.
For instance, this comment was left on a video I did as part of my partnership with BetMGM Casino. BetMGM operates a regulated online casino legal in specific states that have authorized online gaming and have licensed BetMGM to offer it. They follow strict guidelines, just like the casinos that are found in physical locations in these states.
Now, I am a brand ambassador for BetMGM, and that means I participate in various activities to help promote the brand. That does not mean they’re giving me free money to play with as part of that, or that my online gaming content is faked. I play on the same site as the rest of you, on my individual account, and I have a strict policy of not accepting fake bankroll to play with from any casino, be it land-based or online.
Naturally, I get free play offers from my casino host. Anyone who is given free play by a casino host, it is because they’re playing at a level that warrants such an offer – and I am no exception. So wherever I use a healthy bankroll, I benefit from the perks that go with that, as would any other player playing similarly.
That means the ups and downs are real – winning sessions mean I may fly home to California with some extra money in my account. Similarly, and more often than not, a losing session will mean I go home with less money. But then when I do get jackpots, my losses can help offset my wins.
So the truth is, my online play is as authentic as my in-casino play. And to tell people I’m playing with casino money would be incorrect, so I’m sorry I can’t satisfy your request Jessie, but I hope you now better understand the steps I take to ensure what you see is 100% authentic and real casino play, regardless of location, in person or online.

My wife and I enjoy your you tube videos I don’t care who’s money you play with your show is entertaining and i gamble a lot and get get to learn the bonuses on all the games since I don’t always get them myself. Thanks for what you do!
One of the things that got Brian into doing this was he saw other channels and was watching their videos to learn about the games. So we’re glad we’re able to show you some of the bonuses in turn!
Love your authenticity. We enjoy watching you. We would love to see you next time you are in Detroit.
Thanks Cindy! We look forward to returning to Detroit in the future!
If it’s sincere play, then why don’t you ever disclose your profit and loss on each video like you do on the in casino videos?
Hey Ky! For the in casino videos, the combination of edits, multiple machines, and jackpots sometimes being paid out separately is the main reason why we do the totals at the end in those videos – it’s not easy to follow along. By comparison, online slots have the balance shown pretty much at all times on screen (and jackpots are automatically added to that balance), so someone watching can see the starting and ending balance accordingly. But we’ll certainly think about this some more and consider adding the numbers there too!
