Fans of the Mask of Fire series know the games offer multiple ways to reach a big win. 12 Mask of Fire Drums ups the ante with new ways to win one of the tier prizes (and a larger tier that stretches to 12 masks vs. the previous 9).
It continues to bear a similarity mathematically to another game series that offers hits quickly (if you know what we mean), but offers unique twists that offer something different.
Let’s look at 12 Masks of Fire Drums in more detail, including where you can play online today!
Base Game
The 12 Masks of Fire Drums slot machine is a 5×3 reel set with 20 lines. There’s not a lot of base game pay table symbols – there’s seven, of which three are various 7 symbols which pay mixed. There’s also wild symbols, bonus symbols on the middle three reels to trigger the Free Spins.
Then there’s the masks, dubbed Epic Strike symbols in the pay table. Three or more of these will yield an instant payout, based on the number of masks that are collected in a spin. 12 or more yields the top prize of 3,000x your bet. The prizes are all flat prizes that change proportionally with your bet, so the odds of collecting some number of masks on any bet level is the same.
Whenever a wild appears on the reels, it sends a gem towards the stack of prizes, and at any time can trigger a feature that will randomly award either one of the prizes on the ladder or the Free Spins.
Rising Rewards Multiplier
When you get bonus symbols on reels 2 and 3, but not 4, your Rising Rewards multiplier increases (carried forward from their successful Rising Rewards game). You can build the multiplier to 10x, and when you trigger the Free Spins, all line hits will be multiplied by the multiplier.
Interestingly, the multiplier does not change with a change in bet, so it’s unlikely this does much to assist with the game’s payouts when you trigger a bonus.
Free Spins
The free spins bonus awards three spins and a goal of collecting a certain number of drums. Collect the drums, and you increase one step on the ladder, raise the reels, are awarded three more spins and are now trying to collect a higher number of drums.
Along with the ladder prize, you can collect line hits along the way, now multiplied by that Rising Rewards Multiplier. A +1 Free Spin symbol can appear randomly on reel 5 to give you a bit more time to hit your required number of drums.
Fail to collect the number of drums needed on a level and the bonus ends, with any line hits and the final ladder prize being the total amount won in the bonus. Upon conclusion of the bonus the game can reward a Rising Rewards Multiplier boost to kick off your next bonus.
