This underwater-themed game plays a little differently than your traditional slots. Before you decide to take on the digital title, read on below so you know what to be hoping for including some credit giving chests and pearls!
Base Game
Atlantis Megaways is available at a variety of bets ranging from 20 cents all the way up to $25 per spin. In this title, you’re hoping to land matching symbols from left to right. However, instead of relying on traditional lines, this title follows the “Megaways” formula. We’ll break that down below.
Before we get into the Megaways nitty gritty, let’s talk about the variety of aquatic symbols you’ll find in Atlantis Megaways. The King Triton looking gentleman, white bearded mermaid with a trident, is worth the most, as six of this symbol is worth 100. The king of the sea is then followed by the dolphin, worth five for a hit consisting of six. Next up is the octopus, six is worth 2.5, six of the seahorse will pay 2, and the lion fish rounds out the picture symbols, paying 1.2 for six. After the king and his sea creatures, we’re left with the royals. These lowering paying symbols range from a hit of 1 for six of the Aces and .5 for six 10s.
Line hits do get some help thanks to the underwater temple that serves as your wild symbol. This is a predominantly blue symbol marked with “wild” across the bottom. The wild temple will substitute for all symbols with the exception of the scatter. Something unique about this game, the wild can only appear on the top reel that runs across the rest of the reels.
Megaways
Instead of having a set number of ways to win, each spin can and will display a different amount in the upper righthand corner. You can have up to 117,649 Megaways to win! The top reel adds a symbol to the set it sits above, reels two, three, four, and five. Instead of sliding down into position, the symbols come in from the right. Each reel, either by itself or in conjunction with the top reel, can display up to seven symbols.
Like more traditional slot titles, Atlantis Megaways does pay left to right. What is different, however, is when you score a hit, those symbols are removed and replaced with new ones. Atlantis Megaways refers to these as “reactions,” but slot fans will be more familiar with the term cascading reels. A spin will keep playing out until all reactions are complete, meaning no more matching symbols from left to right. The reactions take place both in the upper row and lower reels.
Bonus Respins
Now, about those scatters. You are hoping for at least six of the treasure chests to land anywhere on the reels. When you capture six or more of the glowing chests, you will enter the Bonus Respins round. During this feature, every time you land a treasure chest a credit amount will be displayed.
In addition to the treasure chests, you can score larger amounts thanks to the “Pearl Bonus.” They follow the same kind of flow as the chests, except when you land a pearl you will typically land a bigger credit prize. The pearls will display either X10 (Mini), X50 (Minor), X250 (Major), or X2000 (Grand). Your bet is then multiplied against that pearl bonus multiplier.
Traditional hold and spin style rules are in effect here. Everytime you land a chest or pearl, your spins reset to three. The Bonus Respins conclude when all spins are exhausted. When the spins are complete, all the values displayed are collected.
