The Breaking Bad TV show has been a perennial favorite when it comes to slots, and Breaking Bad Collect ‘Em & Link by Playtech continues in that tradition. This version pins a lot of its value around a Catalyst, the Collect ‘Em symbol, which is your entry point to cash on reels prizes, free games and a link bonus.
Let’s take a look at the slot, and we’ll also share where you can play it today.
Breaking Bad Collect ‘Em & Link Base Game
Breaking Bad Collect ‘Em & Link is a 5×3 slot machine with 30 lines. In lieu of poker symbols it has four lower paying periodic table symbols and five premium symbols. There’s also a stacked wild symbol to help line up the various symbols, and cash on reels coins.
The coins, however, can be won in various ways, unlike a standard link. But we’ll get to that in a moment.
There are four flat jackpots that are available. Any of the four can be won on coins; the Grand is also awarded when a full screen is collected during a Link bonus, standard for that style bonus.
A random feature can add wilds and coins to the reels before the spin concludes. However, it’s not a guarantee that such enhancements leads to a win, so it can be a letdown.
Collect ‘Em Coins
The hardest working symbol in this slot is the Collect ‘Em coin. It appears on reels 1 and 5. It works in the following ways:
- If it appears and there’s also cash on reels prizes, it automatically awards those prizes. This can be credit prizes as well as one of the four flat jackpots when a diamond lands.
- If it appears and there’s also a Link symbol, it awards a Link bonus. If a Mega Link symbol appears, it upgrades prizes along with the awarding of the Link bonus.
- If it appears and +X coins appear, those X values stand for free spins, and it collects and awards the Free Spins.
No Collect ‘Em, none of the above activates – so you really want them to come out, and fortunately, you do see them pretty often. If more than one is present at any point, each prize collected is awarded for each coin – two coins means it’s awarded twice, for instance.
Magnets, B*tch
This feature can nudge a Collect ‘Em coin into view on a non-winning spin, which can happen randomly during the base games. This allows you to collect prizes that would have otherwise been missed out on.
Heisenberg Collect & Link
A Collect ‘Em coin with a Link or Mega Link awards the Heisenberg Collect & Link bonus. It’s the standard format of getting three spins to collect another coin. Doing so resets the counter to three spins to find more. Fill the board, or go three spins without landing another coin, and the bonus is over.
Free spins can land here, as can the diamond to award one of the four flat jackpots. Filling the board awards the Grand jackpot.
Breaking Bad Free Games
Free game symbols (which note the number of spins they offer) and a Collect ‘Em collects the free spins and activates them.
During the free spins, Collect ‘Em coins continue to collect prizes, but when they land, they stick for three spins, giving you an increased chance of collecting prizes. They also now appear on all five reels, increasing the chances more than one could be present at a time.
You can win a Link bonus during the free spins as well, along with additional free games, as all the coin prizes present in the base game are also present in the Free Games.
