The Cleopatra Gold slot machine builds on a popular series by IGT by introducing new elements to the Cleopatra universe, including stacked wilds, the ability to get additional spins within the base game, and a unique tweak to the mechanic for triggering the bonus.
Let’s take a look at the game, and share where you can play online!
Base Game
The Cleopatra Gold slot machine has many similarities to its original Cleopatra sibling. For one, it’s a 5×3 reel set, with 20 lines, just like the original. The game is a 60 credit game, however, so 60 cents is the minimum bet available.
With the new version, there are now two wild symbols, the Cleopatra, which are individual symbols, and the Cleopatra Gold, which is a stack of wild symbols. Getting a line hit with one or more wild symbols pays 2x, like the original game, but with more wilds, those pays come out more often.
Gold Spins Feature
On any base game spin, a full stack of Cleopatra Gold symbols on a reel triggers the Gold Spins Feature. If a reel is partially filled with symbols, they can nudge to fill the reel at random to trigger the feature as well.
The feature starts with a second set of reels landing atop the first and spinning. If a full stack of Cleopatra Gold symbols appears here, or nudges to fill the reel, you get another respin, moving to a third stack of reels (the third stack is the highest you can go). If a full reel of Cleopatra Gold wilds don’t come out, you move down one stack of reels.
The respins continue until you return to the base set of reels without a Cleopatra Gold wild stack to trigger another respin.
Free Spins Bonus
Three or more bonus symbols trigger the Free Spins Bonus. In a twist, though, it doesn’t necessarily have to be all at once. If you get one or more bonus symbols while in the Gold Spins Feature, you collect the bonus symbols for the entirety of the feature. Collecting three or more will trigger the bonus as well.
You get 10 free spins for three bonus symbols. Each additional bonus symbol landed or collected will add 2 free spins.
During the Free Spins Bonus, wins using a wild symbol are now tripled, instead of doubled, amping up the prize potential. Gold Spins Features can occur in the bonus, and retriggers are possible, with the same 10 spins for three symbols and two additional spins for each symbol after that. Up to 150 spins can take place during the Free Spins Bonus!
