Da Vinci Diamonds by IGT is a classic slot machine that’s endured on casino floors, and has more recently made the jump to online casinos. With cascading reels and a charged-up bonus round, it’s still a fun game all these years later.
Let’s take a closer look at the game, and where you can play it online!
Base Game
Da Vinci Diamonds is a 20 line game with a 20 cent minimum bet, great for lower bettors. The game features cascading reels – if you line something up on a pay line, after getting paid, those symbols will disappear, allowing others to drop in its place, and potentially allowing for more wins.
There are only seven pay table symbols along with the bonus and wild symbols – a very low count is usually a sign of a lower volatility game, which is a good descriptor of this game.
Free games is the only bonus available on this game.
Free Games
It’s a bit more difficult to trigger free games, because the symbols only appear on the first three reels of the base game, and have to fall on the payline. When they do, you’ll enter the free games with six free spins.
During the free games all the symbols change. The three painting symbols in the bonus round pay scatter as long as at least three appear, increasing the chances of more cascades during the bonus. Three or more bonus symbols can now retrigger as a scatter. The following possibilities are available when you retrigger:
- 3 bonus symbols: 2, 3, or 4 free games
- 4 bonus symbols: 4, 6, or 8 free games
- 5 bonus symbols: 6, 8, 10, 12 or 15 free games
With the additional scatter opportunities, the bonus can build quite quickly, but being a lines game things still have to fall in the right spots with the gems to keep the cascades going.
