Diamond Cash Mighty Buffalo features the classic hold and spin model many players know and love by now, but with some unusual twists in the form of free game options that can land on reels along with the more well known cash amounts and jackpots.
Let’s look at how this game differs from the traditional format, and where you can play it online with cash!
Base Game
Diamond Cash Mighty Buffalo is a 5×3 reel set featuring 25 lines and a 25 cent bet interval so the minimum bet on the game is 25 cents.
The game features 9 base pay table symbols, of which 4 are poker symbols and five premium animal symbols. On top of this there’s the gold coin, which can reveal to be other symbols, the diamonds, which are cash on reels symbols towards getting the Diamond Cash Feature.
Jackpots & Progressives
There are four jackpots here, two of which (the Mini and Minor) are flat jackpots and two (the Major and Grand) are progressives, linked to other players on the game at that casino, similar to how banks can be linked in a physical casino.
If you’re betting under max bet, you get a portion of what’s been added to the progressive, which means the progressive doesn’t fully reset back to the starting point unless you won it at max bet. The progressive is therefore proportional to the bet size, just like how other online games do it with flat jackpots.
It’s an interesting approach that keeps the values proportional while still allowing a true progressive option to be offered.
Re-Spin Feature
When five diamonds land in a single spin (one short of a Diamond Cash feature), the reels will respin, giving players another shot at a sixth diamond and triggering the feature.
Gold Coins
Gold coins are a mystery symbol, and can reveal to show a pay table symbol, including Diamond symbols towards the Diamond Cash feature.
Diamond Cash Feature
This is your traditional hold and spin feature, with three spins awarded. Landing another diamond resets the counter to 3, and filling the board with all 15 diamonds awards the grand progressive jackpot, which in this case is indeed a progressive.
However, special diamonds can land that can award additional benefits:
- Colossal: A Colossal diamond triggers a free spin with a colossal symbol replacing the middle three reels. This will look familiar to those who play hold and spin style games as a feature out of a free spin bonus. One free spin occurs for each landed.
- Wild: A Wild diamond triggers a free spin with wilds placed on the reels with 2x or 3x multipliers, helping the line wins. One free spin occurs for each landed.
- Sticky: A Sticky diamond triggers a free spin where all winning symbols are locked in place, with the rest respun. If more symbols line up with what’s there, they lock and another respin occurs until no more respins can occur. One free spin occurs for each landed (respins don’t count as free spins).
By putting all the free spin benefits into the hold and spin, it eliminates the spreading of money across both a free spins bonus and a hold and spin feature, yielding
