The Dragon Power slot is an online slot by Wild Streak Gaming that went the other direction than things traditionally go. It started as an online game that is now available on casino floors.
Its core bonus is a traditional respin bonus when you land six cash on reels symbols, but the addition of golden symbols, which double as wilds, assists in reducing one main complaint about this game format: That cash on reels symbols serve as extra blockers for line hits, making it harder to get either.
Let’s take a closer look at Dragon Power, as well as where you can place this game online with real money!
Dragon Power Slot Base Game
The game is a 50 line slot machine with 50 credit increments, meaning the minimum bet is 50 cents. This makes it not the least expensive slot of this type around, but it is equivalent with what you can get on the casino floors.
The game features four premium symbols and five poker symbols. Three of the four premium symbols, and all five of the poker symbols, share a payout schedule, so it doesn’t matter which of a symbol within each type you get as long as you get them.
Aside from these symbols, there’s a wild symbol (the dragon), a scatter symbol for the bonuses, and then of course the orbs that serve as the respin symbols you need to get six of for the respin bonus.
There are four jackpots on the board, won during the respins feature. They are proportional to your bet, so your chances of winning them on any given bet level are the same.
Golden Orb Feature
On any base game, the middle reel can transform into a reel of golden orbs. This serves two purposes:
- The golden orbs are wild symbols, improving the chances of a line hit
- The golden orbs count towards the six orbs needed to trigger a respin bonus, increasing the chances of them happening.
Only the golden orbs are wild, but it’s nice to have that boosted chance of a bonus on those spins.
Dragon Power Bonus
The namesake bonus of the game is the respin bonus, triggered when you get six orbs, whether of the white or gold (or both) variety. It follows the traditional format players know: You get three spins to land more orbs. Land one, and the counter resets to three spins.
If you fill the board or go three spins without getting another orb, the bonus is over. All prizes on the board are awarded, and if you happen to fill all 15 spots, you also get the Grand.
Free Spins Feature
Three or more bonus scatter symbols will yield the free spins. The more you collect, the more spins you get:
- 3 scatter symbols: 8 free spins
- 4 scatter symbols: 15 free spins
- 5 scatter symbols: 25 free spins
You can retrigger during the free spins, getting the amount of spins listed above based on the number of retriggering symbols.
