The Collect’ Em family of slots has been a potent one for Playtech, and with the World Cup coming up, it is a natural time for exploring themes of football (or soccer for us here in America).
Goal Goal Goal Collect ‘Em merges the series with a three pot format that they’ve seen success with on games like Oink Oink Oink, pulling together a potent set of features for a fun and active slot.
Base Game
Goal Goal Goal Collect ‘Em is a triple pot game with 25 paylines on a 5×3 reel set. There are nine base paytable symbols, 5 of which are royals and 4 of which are more premium. Wilds are also present to assist with lining up the base game paytable symbols. The fact they are often stacked is a further help.
Bonus symbols appear on reels 2, 3 and 4 – landing them triggers 8 free games automatically with at least one of the three Pot Features awarded. There’s also blue, red and green Football/Soccer coins, which can offer a chance at awarding it (as opposed to the automatic, and guaranteed, bonus awarded by the three bonus symbols).
Unlike some of the other Collect ‘Em series games, the collect feature is limited to the free games. On the bright side, that means the coins that you want to collect aren’t an obstacle in the base game, getting in the way of the line hits.
Free Games
The free games are a single bonus, of which the three pots can each upgrade on their own, or in combination, meaning seven unique bonus variations. The three pots upgrade the bonus as follows:
- Collect ‘Em Link (Blue): When it lands on the reels it persists and moves down one position on the reels per spin until it disappears. If coins land on the reels while the Collect ‘Em Link symbol is present, it will trigger a Link feature, following the traditional hold and spin style rules of getting three spins to collect more coins. Any coin that lands resets the counter to 3; three spins without a coin landing concludes that Link feature, which all coin prizes being collected.
- Collect ‘Em Max (Red): When a Collect ‘Em Max coin lands, it remains on the reels for the remainder of the free games. Any coins that land while one is present on the reels is collected.
- Collect ‘Em Boost (Green): When it lands on the reels, it persists and moves one position left per spin until it falls off the reels. If coins land while the symbol is present, it will increase the value of the coins that landed on that spin before collecting them.
Because the Collect ‘Em coins can persist, there can be multiple on the reels, which means they may be collected multiple times, improving the potential of a bonus. Like other Collect ‘Em series games, the coins can feature a number of prize types that can help a player:
- Credit prizes: Cash on reels prizes that are awarded as displayed
- Collect ‘Em Prizes: The four static jackpot prizes that appear adjacent to the reels can be awarded with a Trophy symbol. All but the Grand can also be multiplied, with the Mini being eligible to be multiplied by x2, x3 or x5, and the Minor or Major eligible to be multiplied by x2 or x3. A credit prize can be boosted to a trophy as well.
- +Free Games: Coins can also award additional free games, extending the bonus. Boost can add games to these coins.
Buy Feature
If you want to get straight into a bonus, the Buy Feature has you covered. For 50x your stake, you can instantly trigger the 8 free games, with a minimum of one Pot Feature awarded, just like the random trigger from the football/soccer balls.
