King of Crystals is a three pot style game from Digital Gaming Corporation that structurally has more than a passing resemblance to a certain “Bag Game” that many players enjoy. In the absence of that game being available online, this offers a fun option for online casino players.
Let’s dive into the game and learn more about it, and where you can play it online.
Kings of Crystals Base Game
This is a 5×4 reel set with 40 lines on the base game. One way it differs from the physical casino game it is similar to is the microbetting opportunity – you can play this game for as low as 20 cents, making the game accessible to a broader array of players.
There’s 11 symbols on the pay table, plus the wild symbol and the coins.
The Seven Free Spin Bonus Variations
There are seven variations of the bonus that can be triggered. There are three scatter colors. Based on which scatter color(s) trigger the bonus, this is what you can achieve:
Red bonus triggers 5 free spins with nudging wilds and an increase of the reels to 6×5 in size with 100 pay lines.
Blue bonus triggers 5 free spins with line hit multipliers of either 2x, 3x, 5x or 10x.
Green bonus triggers 10 free spins to collect coins. Coins can be credit prizes (1x or 10x your bet) or letters toward one of four jackpots that, instead of progressives, are proportional to your bet:
- Mini Jackpot: 25x your bet
- Minor Jackpot: 50x your bet
- Major Jackpot: 500x your bet
- Grand Jackpot: 10,000x your bet
The other four bonuses are combinations of Red and Blue, Red and Green, blue and green and all three. The traits of them all are combined; any combination that includes a Green bonus gives 10 spins while the Red and Blue combination together stays at 5 spins.
One other small difference between this and that other game – once you fill up a jackpot, it doesn’t reset the letters so it can fill again, so you’re capped at one win per jackpot.
Buy a Bonus
You can Buy a Bonus on this game. Actually, you can buy one of any of the seven bonus types:
- 20x your bet: Red bonus
- 20x your bet: Blue bonus
- 45x your bet: Green bonus
- 55x your bet: Red and Green bonus
- 65x your bet: Red and Blue bonus
- 65x your bet: Green and Blue bonus
- 110x your bet: Red, Green and Blue bonus
Given the type of game this is, it’s nice that you have choices. And on a 20 cent bet, you can buy a bonus for as little as $4, which is very accessible. And the 110x bet on the top end isn’t far removed from the often 100x buy a bonus price on many other games, so you’re doing pretty good here too from that perspective.
