Ever since hold and spin bonuses caught on, Konami has tinkered with various ways to advance the concept. The result has been various game series that provide some new variations on the concept, all of which aim to build some additional excitement. Money Galaxy Radiant Witch is a great example of this, with a multi-level bonus that raises the stakes with each round you reach.
Let’s explore more about this fun slot machine, and also share where you can play it right now, online!
Base Game
Money Galaxy Radiant Which is a 50-line, 5×3 reel set with 50 credit bet increments (meaning minimum bet is 50 cents). This is set up more traditionally like a slot you’d find in a casino: Pick your denomination and pick your line multiplier to determine your total bet.
There’s a lot of symbols on the base game reels – six poker symbols, five premium symbols, the wild symbol (only on the middle three reels), the bonus symbols, and the cash on reels symbols along with the Radiant Witch, which are needed to trigger the Money Galaxy Feature.
The game features four jackpots, two flat jackpots relative to your denomination, and two progressives. This mirrors the structure in physical casino versions of the game, something you don’t always see. Your chances of winning a progressive increase proportionally with your bet. The Mini and Minor flat jackpots change proportionally with the denomination, but not your bet.
Money Galaxy Feature
Three cash on reels symbols anywhere on the first four reels, plus a partial or full Radiant Witch symbol on reel 5, triggers the Money Galaxy feature.
The basics are similar to other Hold & Spin features you may know already. You get three spins to land another cash on reels symbol, and if you do, the spin counter resets to three. If you don’t, the bonus concludes and all the symbols you have collected are awarded. Credit prizes range between 1x and 20x your total bet amount.
The wrinkle here is that there’s 12 spaces (since the Radiant Witch blocks reel 5). There’s also multiple levels. Filling the first level awards all the prizes collected and moves you to a second level where the credit prizes awarded that round (not jackpots) are doubled. Filling the second level collects all prizes multiplied by two and moves you to a third level and credit prizes awarded there (not jackpots) will be tripled. Fill this third and final board and the Maxi (which is the top progressive) is awarded.
The cash on reels symbols can consist of a Mini or a Minor plus a credit prize, or the Mega progressive (that prize is only available if you reach the third board).
Free Game Feature
Three or more bonus symbols will trigger the Free Game feature. The number of spins triggered is based on the number of bonus symbols that triggered the bonus:
- 3 bonus symbols: 8 free games
- 4 bonus symbols: 15 free games
- 5 bonus symbols: 20 free games
During the free spins, all of the poker symbols are removed, leaving the premium symbols, bonus symbols and cash on reels/Radiant Witch symbols. As such, the Money Galaxy feature can be triggered during the free spins. The bonus symbols can also deliver a retrigger, with the number of spins awarded following the same chart as above.
