Base Game
The game features a 5×3 reel set with 243 ways to win – as long as symbols appear on successive reels starting from the left, you can win. If multiple symbols appear on a single reel, that’s how you can win multiple ways.
Bet increments are 10 cents, and minimum bets accordingly can be as low as 10 cents – incredibly affordable for lower bettors! However, minimum bets can vary by casino.
There’s 10 pay table symbols – 5 royals, and five premiums. There’s also wilds which can help connect the symbols for wins, and hammer bonus symbols – 3 or more of those will break open a pig at random and instantly award one of the bonuses mentioned below, creating an element of surprise, as you don’t know which bonus is coming until a pig is cracked open.
And finally, there’s coins in three colors – red, green and blue – that interact with the three pigs on the screen. Any one coin can break a pig open, triggering the bonus, again enhancing the suspense and randomness.
The three pigs each represent different bonuses, which come pretty frequently throughout the game, meaning you generally won’t go too long without arriving at a feature. But which one will it be:
- Squeek: The blue pig is connected to the Blue Coin Feature, which is a wheel.
- Snort: The green pig is connected to the Green Coin feature, which is free games.
- Grunt: the red pig is connected to the Red Coin Feature, a jackpot prize pick.
Speaking of a jackpot prize pick, the four jackpots are displayed front and center in the game, and are flat prizes that are proportional to your bet, so your odds of winning them at any bet level are the same. They are only available during the Red Coin Feature.
Blue Coin Feature
Popping the blue pig results in the Blue Coin Feature, which is a wheel that features both credit prizes (represented as multipliers, which multiply your bet) and both the green and red pigs, leading to their respective features if you land it.
The wheel credit prizes on offer range from 5x to 120x your bet – so when you get the wheel you can feel pretty good that something’s coming your way.
Red Coin Feature
Popping the red pig results in the Red Coin Feature, which is a traditional predetermined prize pick. There’s 12 coins, and the first three of a kind you get will award the prize. The four prizes on offer are:
- Mini: 20x your bet amount
- Minor: 50x your bet amount
- Major: 200x your bet amount
- Grand: 2,000x your bet amount
So in a way it’s a step up from the wheel, thanks to its higher range of prizes, including a bigger starting prize.
Green Coin Feature
Popping the green pig results in the Green Coin Feature, which is free games. The free games starts with a randomizer that can award 6, 8 or 10 free games and either 1,024 ways to win (5×4 reel set) or 3,125 ways to win (5×5 reel set). The best outcome, therefore, is 10 free games with 3,125 ways to win.
During the free games, only green coins are on the reels, which award an extra free game each time one appears (and multiple can appear on a single spin). Otherwise, it’s a taller reel version of the base game, with more ways to win increasing the chance for big line hits.
