In recent years slot makers have been looking at games and iterating on them to focus on what players love the most. One of the latest slots to follow this lead is Piggy N’ More Bankin’, an update to Piggy Bankin’ that follows the lead of Huff N’ More Puff by adding a wheel.
With all the main features focusing on collecting piggies (the standard free spins are gone here), and four feature types in total, the new slot adds some depth to what was already a popular original slot, giving players more of what they want, and more chances to fill the screen with piggies and land an epic prize.
Let’s dive into the specifics, and show you how you can play it for free on the Quick Hit Slots app.
Base Game
Like its predecessor, this 5×3 reel set slot features stacks of wild symbols that can assist in building up line hits when they appear in successive reels. The same mix of royal symbols and premium symbols persist from the previous slot.
The biggest change here is that the traditional free spins found on the first slot have been removed. Instead, similar to Huff N’ More Puff, the bonus symbols connect to a wheel that includes the four jackpots and three new bonuses based on the Piggy Bank Feature. This puts the focus on one bonus format, and the one most players prefer to play to begin with.
Four jackpots remain on offer; within Quick Hit Slots these are flat prizes that grow proportionally with your bet, so the chances of winning them are the same on any bet level. But now, with the wheel, there’s two ways you can win them!
Piggy Bank Feature
This feature is identical to the original slot – land six or more pigs for a respin feature. You get five spins to land as many pigs as you can. Clumps of 2×2 or bigger pigs form bigger pigs, which feature bigger prizes. Fill all 15 spaces with a pig to get the largest pig spinner, and be eligible for the top jackpot, the Grand.
Once your five respins are complete, each pig is broken open. Pigs that are contained to one reel win static prizes, while the 2×2 and up trigger spinners that can award credit prizes or one of the four jackpots. Mini and Minor are eligible in any spinner, Major is eligible in any spinner that is 2×5 or 3×4 in size, and the Grand only eligible on the full 3×5 spinner.
New to this version is the Major x2 can be awarded in any shape that has 10 or more reel spaces included. Interestingly, this is not offered for the Minor or Mini.
One other new feature is if a pig lands during the final spin, a bonus spin is awarded. This can extend the bonus and help to fill in more spaces.
Wheel Feature
Three or more bonus symbols (this time in the form of a vault symbol) triggers the wheel. The wheel features a variety of options, including:
- The four jackpots: Mini, Minor, Major and Grand prizes are on offer on the wheel.
- Glass Pig Feature: This plays like the Piggy Bank Feature, except at the start. Each vault converts to a glass pig, and each glass pig explodes to mark 1-3 additional pigs on the reels. This means you can start with more than six pigs, depending on how many bonus symbols and how many extras are added.
- Flying Pig Feature: The vaults turn into flying pig symbols. The flying pig symbols will position themselves around other pigs that land, aiming to make the best scenario for a bigger pig and the spinning prizes.
- Big Pig Feature: Instead of each individual reel space containing individual pigs, bigger reels roll with bigger pig symbols of 2×2 or bigger. Each spin, any space where a big pig lands will award an individual pig. Reels cannot stop with big pigs partially revealed, so each spin will deliver at least a 2×2 pig on the reels. They can of course land where pigs have already landed, but this dramatically improves the potential for filling the reels.
This means there’s four variations of the bonus to play, which will keep things fun and exciting for players.
