Quick Hit has been an enduring series of slots going back decades now. It’s popular enough that it has its own branded social casino app, Quick Hit Slots, where you can find many of the Quick Hit slots available to play anytime for free. Quick Hit Link Fire is among the latest generation of games to feature the Quick Hit format.
Recent Quick Hit games have slowly reduced the emphasis on Quick Hit pays, which continues here, but adds features like three upgrades connected to the free spins, credit prizes found on Quick Hit symbols, and the continued use of mix symbols, Quick Hit Link Fire modernizes the series without taking it into high volatility territory like so many other slots today. And it’s been rewarded by being one of the most popular slots of the past couple of years.
So let’s look at the key ingredients that make Quick Hit Link Fire so good, and how you can play it today at home on Quick Hit Slots.
Base Game
Like many Quick Hit series games, Quick Hit Link is a 5×3 reel set with 30 lines. It features a small number of pay table symbols – a cherry, a bell, two types of bars (which pay mixed), and three types of 7s (which also pay mixed). These familiar symbols and win structures maintain familiarity with the Quick Hit series.
There aren’t big line hits here – they’ve definitely been reduced compared to earlier Quick Hit games – but enough 7s or bars can at least offer something helpful to keep you going until you reach a bonus.
Also found on the reels are Quick Hit symbols. Land three or more on a single spin and you’re awarded a Quick Hit prize. Some Quick Hit symbols on this version contain credit prizes (which continues down the path established by Quick Hit Explosion). When three or more Quick Hit symbols appear, you not only win the Quick Hit prize, you also win the credit prizes on those symbols.
Unlike most older Quick Hit games where 9 was the cap on the number of Quick Hit symbols you can land, here it goes to 12+ as the top prize, so there’s more tiers to the prizes, which here on Quick Hit Slots are flat jackpots across the board, as opposed to version you’d find in casinos that have two progressive jackpots in the mix.
Free Games Feature
Some symbols have firework symbol overlays in three different colors, which fly up to the firecrackers for the three Free Games Feature upgrades in those matching colors. (How full they are is no indication of how close to a bonus there is.)
Any one firecracker can set off the Free Games Feature, but multiple firecrackers could set off multiple upgrades, up to all three at one time. Every bonus features at least one upgrade, and there’s seven combinations that can be achieved among the three upgrades available.
The three upgrades are:
- Green: Extra spins, which features firecrackers on reel 5 that can award extra spins during the Free Games Feature, up to a limit of 25 free games
- Purple: Firecracker Quick Hits add Quick Hit symbols to the reels, increasing the chances of Quick Hit prizes and credits
- Red: Reels up, doubling the size of the reels to 5×6 and doubling the pay lines to 60
Achieving multiple upgrades at once will improve the chances of a bigger Free Games Feature outcome, but the bonuses still come pretty regularly even if sometimes just one upgrade.
Quick Hit Slots Progressives
As an added bonus for those playing on Quick Hit Slots, three progressives are available, which unlock as you increase your bet. Along with winning on the slots, you can win an instant progressive as well!
