Hold & Respin Feature
Triggered by landing six or more coin symbols, the Hold & Respin feature expands into a taller reel set. The usual format of getting three spins to land another coin exists here, with the spin counter resetting each time you successfully land a coin.
A Key twist to the traditional mechanic, is that coins can land with credit prizes or “triple goddess” triquetra symbols, which award one of the four The Walking Dead™ static jackpots, which appear above the reels during the base game. Those prizes shift with your bet, so your chances of winning are the same on any bet level.
Some coins contain a key – each two keys you collect will unlock another row of reels, increasing the number of spaces you have to collect prizes. The key, once unlocking a space, reveals a credit prize. Unlock high enough rows on the reels to get even better prizes:
- 7th Row: 2x the credit prizes that land (biohazard symbols are not multiplied)
- 8th Row: 5x the credit prizes that land (biohazard symbols are not multiplied)
- 9th Row: Only coins with biohazard symbols will land
When three spins go without a respin, or the entire board is full, the bonus concludes and all prizes that were held are awarded, with any biohazard symbols revealing their static jackpot prize.
Free Games
Adding depth and variety, the slot includes five Free Games experiences, each linked to themes from the AMC series. Three or more Free Games symbols awards six free games. However, there are five different Free Games modes available, offering a fun variety of play with bonuses themed after elements of The Walking Dead™ TV show:
- The Horde Free Games: Whenever a wild lands on reels 2-4, it will expand to fill the entire reel it landed on.
- Saviors Free Games: Coins and wild symbols get multipliers when they appear on the reels. Multiple multipliers in a line hit add together.
- Alexandria Respins: When a full reel of coins appears, respins begin. Each respin, the coins move one reel to the left. If at any time three or more additional coins land along with the stack, the respins conclude and the Hold & Spin Feature is triggered. The same is true if two coin stacks land at once. Otherwise, respins end, and the Free Games spins resume, when the stack falls off the reels.
- The Whisperers Free Games: Each spin, up to three spins are randomly selected, and the chosen reels will be filled with only wilds and coin symbols.
- Wild Walkers Respins: Any time a stack of wilds fills a reel anywhere on the reels, respins begin. Each respin, the wilds move one reel to the left. Another stack of wilds landing continue the respins, which conclude when the last reel stack of wilds fall of the reel, at which point the Free Games spins resume.
When the Free Games is triggered, you start by spinning a wheel to confirm which bonus you will get. During the bonus three or more Free Games symbols will retrigger the bonus, awarding six more free games.
