The Ultra Blazing Fire Link slot may look weird to many players used to the Fire Link series. It’s not a name that was seen on casino floors, but looks to be a savvy rebrand of a game that did: Ultra Hot Mega Link. That was the first extension in a brand that’s been humming along for a decade, so it’s nice to see this variation make its way online.
Let’s take a look at the Ultra Blazing Fire Link slot, and where you can play it for real money online!
Base Game
The Ultra Blazing Fire Link Slot follows the format of the India version of Ultra Hot Mega Link, with 50 pay lines on a 4×5 reel set. However, the game has a minimum bet of just 20 cents here, vs. the 50 cents on the version in casinos, opening up the game to lower bettors.
Presumably the name was updated to use the more familiar Fire Link name since the word “Link” appears on so many slots nowadays. It certainly caught our attention.
There are 9 base pay table symbols here, five premium and four poker symbols. There’s also a wild symbol, fire balls for the Ultra Blazing Fire Link bonus and treasure chests which serve as the bonus symbol.
Like other games in the series the game features four jackpots. Unlike in the casino, all the jackpots are flat, and they adjust proportionally with your bet. Jackpots can be won during the Ultra Blazing Fire Link Bonus.
Ultra Blazing Fire Link Bonus
Following the Fire Link series, four or more fireballs trigger this bonus. The board adjusts to an 8×5 reel set with four rows of reels locked. Each time an additional 4 fire balls are collected on unlocked reels, another row is unlocked, meaning once 20 fireballs land on unlocked reels, the entire reel set is unlocked.
Following the standard hold and spin model, and consistently across the Fire Link series, you start with three spins, and continue playing until you either run out of spaces to fill or go three spins without another fireball landing.
A special fireball now exists that will upgrade credit prizes on some of the other landed fireballs found on unlocked reels.
Free Games
Free Games are triggered when treasure chests appear once each on reels 2, 3 and 4 (the only reels where they’ll appear). You’ll get paid your bet back and then eight free spins will initiate.
During the free spins the poker symbols are removed, leaving only the premium symbols, wilds, fireballs and treasure chests, improving the potential for line hits since there’s less competition among the symbols.
Treasure chests shift to reel 5 for the bonus and each time one appears an additional spin is awarded. They can be stacked too, yielding multiple additional free spins. This is similar to Fu Dao Le in setup, effectively.
The Ultra Blazing Fire Link bonus can be triggered in the free spins, something that was not possible in the original Fire Link series. Four fireballs or more trigger the bonus, just like in the base game. If you don’t get four, however, you are still awarded the prizes on the fireballs during the bonus.
