Wicked Winnings II is one of Aristocrat’s most enduring themes. The game is a tough customer, but the potential to line up the top symbol or get a key respin for getting a reel of wilds are scenarios that have long drawn players on the casino floor.
As part of Aristocrat’s move to bring classics online, Wicked Winnings II is now available to play through online real money gaming casinos. Here’s a look at the classic game, and where you can play it.
Wicked Winnings II Base Game
The game is a 5×3 reel set with an all ways pays format. This means you don’t need symbols to line up on pay lines, you simply need them to appear on successive reels. The game is a 50 credit bet increment, so the minimum bet is 50 cents.
Wild symbols only appear on the middle three reels, but can be stacked for some extra help given the all ways pays format.
The top symbol, the raven, has by far the best pays compared to other symbols. This makes the chase of a big raven hit an exciting push for players, with the added help of wilds to drive up the pays there as well.
There’s also a scatter symbol that can be quite generous, especially if you get it on all five reels.
Free Spin Feature
If you get a full column of wilds on any of the middle three reels, the wild reel will hold and the reels respun. In an interesting twist, if you manage another reel of wilds, you can respin again, up to three times (since the middle three reels are the only places where you can find wilds).
This respin feature, combined with the all ways pays format, can really drive some big payouts.
Free Games Feature
Getting a symbol with flames on reels 1 and 5 triggers a 15 free games bonus. The free spin feature can occur during the free games, as can retriggers.
With so many games, and a generous pay table, the potential is there, even though it can be a tough game. But despite its age, it remains a player favorite in many casinos, and the theme has popped up regularly in Aristocrat’s library as a result.
