Here’s some good news – whatever’s better is entirely your choice.
That’s because there’s no right or wrong way to play slots. You could do better bouncing around, or do better sitting at one machine, or basically do the same, because slots are random within their range of possibilities that you won’t know how you did until you’re done.
Some people want to stay on a “hot” machine, but a hot machine is defining what has happened in the past, which doesn’t necessarily correlate with what will happen in the future. Some will like to move on after a bad run on a game, and that may be good simply for the emotional aspect of gambling – get up, shake it off, find a new game to play.

So from that perspective, if one scenario is creating emotional stress, if you find yourself getting irked as a game fails to pay, maybe getting up and moving vs. chasing your losses is the right play – from that perspective, it may even be healthier to take a break, get up from the machine, go play something else.
But we don’t know when a slot is due to pay anything (with the rare exception like must hit by progressives, which tell you right on the machine when a threshold is approaching).
But when it comes to financial results, like a good percentage of recommendations to play slots, this is sort of a neutral question – there’s no right or wrong answer, and doing one or the other will neither help nor hurt your chances of winning or your overall results at the casino.
So play as it makes sense for you, and you won’t have to worry about your overall results, and can focus on playing what’s fun for you, in a way that’s fun for you.

hi brian does it make any difference if you spin at a steady pace or mix up the pace of clicks. love your show
Thanks for watching and for the question Janice! With slots, it’s all about timing. So changing up the pace of your spins, or even throwing a rapid-fire spin into the mix, is just a fun way to try and find that millisecond that will land you a win!
