Many players will gamble when away from home, given the opportunity. Sometimes the trips are purpose-built for gambling, while some have gambling as a nice side effect.
An overwhelming majority of players polled on Brian Christopher’s YouTube page said they loved to check out casinos when they travel, or purposefully travel to gamble (Las Vegas trip, anyone?). Another 25 percent said it can depend on the trip. Only 6 percent of players ruled out gambling while traveling.
Here are some of the answers we received on our Flip The Switch Facebook page when it comes to the furthest players have ever traveled and gambled!
Las Vegas
It’s a gambling mecca, so we weren’t surprised to see a number of players went there to play!
- Las Vegas. The Downtown Vegas Casinos are looser than the ones in my state. Sharon B.
- From Indianapolis to Vegas at least once a year. Yes I like it better. I also get to hit casinos while traveling with my job. I’m usually at a “new to me ” casino at least once a month. I always have fun and some have been better than others. Tony B.

Cruises
We’re fans of cruising too, especially when a smokefree casino is available and it’s a BCSlots Cruise! A lot of cruisers have been to some farther-out places as well:
- I gambled in the Mediterranean on a cruise! Michelle L.
- Mexico while cruising. Lol I do like our casinos here in Oklahoma though since they’re huge, but I won my biggest hand pay while on a cruise. Anna D.
- In the middle of the Carribean on a cruise ship. Best place to gamble, IMO. Just because it’s a cruise ship! Jana M.
Outside the United States
Many of our commenters for this post were U.S. based and shared locales outside the U.S. they have gambled.
- Australia! The Sydney Star casino was top notch, won higher than a handpay, about $3k, no taxes!!!! Love the place! Absolutely would return, gorgeous place, love the $ exchange from US. Carie Y.
