Each month, casinos will extend a variety of promotions to players, along with personalized offers. The offers are designed to drive players in, but oftentimes will overlap with promotions scheduled to drive traffic at a particular day or time.
The best scenarios for players are when you can stack the benefits one on top of the other. Here’s a particularly interesting example from a recent casino visit:
- The standard weekly free play offer that we get as a player of a local casino
- The standard monthly resort credit that we also get as a player of the casino
- A weeknight promotion where playing a certain number of points earns a crack at a game for additional free play
- A game within the casino offering 2x points, which also earned 2x towards the promotion
- The points earned are also comp dollar points that can be spent on site or converted to free play
When you’re able to stack elements together, you get more freebies for your visit, and have an opportunity accordingly to improve your overall benefits and perhaps leave with more money than you would have otherwise, or at the very least play longer on the free play they give you.
Generally the best opportunities for stacking are when you can get multiple amounts of free play (such as a normal offer combined with a kiosk game), multiply your earned comp dollars or tier credits, or in the absolute best case scenarios, all of the above.
Some casinos are more willing to let you stack offers than others; one casino we’ve played at notoriously blacked out free play on tier credit days for a long time, meaning you had to make the hard choice of whether you wanted your regular free play or wanted to earn tier credits faster.
In other cases, the stacking appears intentional, with plenty of promotions generously offered across a calendar – gift days, bonus free play chances and more, all with a weekly free play bucket that can be redeemed anytime alongside any of those promotions.
It’s always a simple, yet savvy, move to check out your offers and look for the opportunities that not only make the most of a visit, but get you the most of what you want out of a visit. Is that free gift compelling and lets you claim your free play as well while there? That might be worth it, for instance.
Many players leave money on the table by not doing a quick review, so use this as a helpful tip to get more out of your casino visits!
