Many players like to visit the casino for a long enough trip that an overnight stay is a part of the trip. Over time we’ve become accustomed to a variety of comforts these rooms can provide.
But not every room is created equally, nor is every player the same, so in a recent query to players on our Flip The Switch Facebook page we asked what features (aside from a bed, of course) players hope to find in their rooms. Here’s what they responded:
- A desk or table with at least 2 chairs. I hate having to sit on a bed the whole time we’re in our room!! Amanda C.
- I always have to have a refrigerator or two to store my bottled water and energy drinks or protein drinks. Benjamin B.
- A nice big shower with great water pressure. Christine S.
- USB ports on the lamp. Donna M.
- Bottled water, good quality coffee/Keurig, well stocked bathroom with good shampoo and nice lotion and fluffy towels! Paula K.
- Lots of pillows for nesting. Soaker bathtub. Coffeemaker and fridge. A great view. Bonny B.
- Coffee pot for sure. Large TV. Randy W.
- Water and microwave. Coffee machine in room is nice, too. Victoria D.
- A shower cap! Clare R.
- Big shower, plenty of counter space, good minibar/snacks. Separate table/chairs for eating or hanging out with friends in the room. Megan B.
- Bottled water is such a nice touch! Also, a good sitting chair so I can count my winnings$$$ Cathy M.
- In Room Safe, Mini Fridge, Coffee Maker. Bougie Toiletries are an added bonus. JoAnna W.
- A decent place to sit… comfortably. A good shower. A crap ton of good fluffy pillows bigger than standard size…I want king pillows on a king size bed! Melanie C.
- The Cromwell charged us 65.00 for using the kuerig for three days. Lmao. So FREE coffee pot usage! Ryan P.
Finally, Mark B. came in with a pretty strong list (although be sure to try the clothes hanger clip trick for those blinds):
- A fridge
- A decent shower (extra points if the bathroom has got more than 3 feet of moveable space)
- Enough towels and toiletries to last my stay since housekeeping doesn’t come to restock rooms
- Lots of pillows.
- A pen and paper
- Free water bottles
- Curtains that actually fully close and don’t let in that little sliver of blinding light directly onto the bed in the morning.
- An alarm clock that hasn’t been pre set from the prior guest to go off at 4:55am in the morning.
- As little as possible devices with high intensity light up displays that I have to cover with various things so the room is actually dark at night.
Do any of these make your stay better? What’s your list? Share in the comments!
