Fans of Brian Christopher love to comment about the days when he bet low. $2 a spin, $1 a spin or even less?!? Hardly – Brian’s first videos posted to YouTube featured bets of $3-6 a spin, but for some reason people remember it differently.
It could be because despite him always preferring bets of a certain level, he has dabbled with the low bet here and there, and sometimes has done spectacularly well on them. Here’s just a couple of examples:
$2 Spins on Hot Hot 8
Our first video is from the early days of his channel. He bet the max on Hot Hot 8, which was $2 (the game has you betting 25 cents per board, hence the $2 max bet).
One of its features is if you get three or more Hot Hot flame symbols on the eight boards, you get to spin the wheel. The wheel has 8 credit prizes and an Award All space that awards you all the progressives and credit prizes available on the wheel. For every flame that lands on a board, they replace a credit prize on the wheel with one of the progressives.
Brian’s flames added the two top progressives to the wheel, with the biggest one worth more than $1,400. He spun the wheel, and managed to win the top progressive, good for more than 700x his bet!
Big Bonus Hit on Buffalo Diamond
Our next video knocks the betting level down to $1.60 a spin, which Brian was playing in part because of the attractive spin counts available on the bonus.
He only got 11 spins at a 2x multiplier when he got the bonus, but the first spin delivered with three wilds, yielding 3x, 3x and 2x, plus the 2x bonus multiplier for a total of 36x, and that was enough to yield a more than $550 win on that spin.
Overall the bonus was more than $580 – that was good for a more than 350x win during a goofing off period while he was waiting for his coffee.
Grand Jackpot on Mighty Cash
However, that’s not even close to his best win as a multiple of his bet. That prize goes to Mighty Cash, which he was playing live one night with the Rudies.
In this game he was betting 80 cents a spin, the minimum bet on the 10 cent denomination betting the lowest credit amount possible on the Mighty Cash feature. He was doing it for fun, and managed to land the Grand progressive jackpot!
He managed to fill the board, which was when he learned the Grand is not doubled like all other prizes do when that happens, but at least the Minor was.
His $7,200 win was more than 9,000 times his bet, which stands as his biggest multiple of his bet as of this writing.
