Base Game
Like its predecessor, Piggy Bankin’ Break In is a 5×3 reel set. This time it features only 40 lines, compared to 50 in the previous iteration. The pay table consists of five royal symbols (10 through A) and five more premium symbols. Your top paying symbol is the officer.
Like many newer slots, this slims down the bonus rounds, focusing on the Lock It Feature and dispensing with the free spins. (The original Piggy Bankin’ would give you a choice when you got three bonus symbols).
That means aside from the core paytable symbols and the coin stacks which count as wilds, the only other symbols on the reels are the piggies, which are how you get to a feature.
There are four static jackpots which change proportionally to your bet, which can be awarded in the Piggy Bank Lock It Feature.
Piggy Bank Lock It Feature
The core Piggy Bank Lock It Feature remains intact from the previous slot. Six pigs anywhere on the reels will automatically trigger the feature. However, along with the pink pigs there are now red, green and blue pigs connected with feature upgrades. Any one of any color can pop the accompanying upgrade and trigger the bonus. There’s also the ability to pop more than one pig, triggering multiple bonuses concurrently. The upgrades are:
- Pickles (Instant Win): Any green pigs prizes are instantly awarded, but are still part of the bonus, to be awarded again at the end. If a green pig lands and expands the size of the pig, a bigger prize connected with that larger pig size is awarded.
- Bubba (Double Play): Two reel sets are awarded. When Bubba lands on one reel set, he’ll clone to the other.
- Biscuit (Repeat Win): At the conclusion of the feature, the amount awarded on any spaces featuring Biscuit will be awarded multiple times.
All feature have at least one upgrade connected, so there are seven different possible bonus permutations. Regardless of upgrade, five spins are awarded. Any special pigs (red/blue/green) that land will award an additional spin. If pigs fill the entire reel set, no more spins are awarded and the feature advances to awarding the prizes.
If pigs accumulate in clumps, they will grow in size. 2×2 or bigger rectangular clumps will offer bigger pigs with a spinner that selects from one of a range of prizes. As the size of the pigs grow, the potential of the prizes do as well.
The Mini, Minor, Major and Grand can be awarded on the spinners, but they each only appear on specific spinners this time out:
- Mini: 2×2 pigs
- Minor: 2×4, 2×3 or 3×2
- Major: 2×5, 3×4 or 3×5, but not when the Repeat Win is activated on that pig
- Grand: 3×4 or 3×5, but not when the Repeat Win is activated on that pig
