Loyalty programs range from extremely valuable to nearly comical in terms of value for customers. For example, a program that gives you a $5 credit for each $1,000 you spend is technically better than nothing, but not a lot better.
Loyalty programs for online casinos land at different points in the value spectrum, too. Falling toward the extremely valuable end of the spectrum is the BetMGM Rewards program.
While which games you play, how often you play, and how you choose to redeem your loyalty rewards make a difference in how much BetMGM is worth to you as a player, the program is versatile enough to create some value for any online casino player. That’s even the case if you don’t want to use your rewards online.
What is the BetMGM Rewards Program?
BetMGM Rewards is the exclusive rewards program of online gaming operator BetMGM. You can earn BetMGM Rewards Points (BRPs) and improve your tier standing by placing sports bets on BetMGM or buying into games on BetMGM Poker, but fans of online slot games will be most interested in the information relevant to BetMGM Casino.
Essentially, you can earn BRPs and Tier Credits with all of your real-money bets on any of the thousands of online casino games that BetMGM offers. With each successive tier you reach, you get additional perks, and your point-earning rate increases. It’s a positive snowball effect that can grant you access to the best of everything that BetMGM has to offer slot players.
How Do People Earn BetMGM Rewards Points?
To begin with BetMGM Rewards, you first need to satisfy eligibility requirements. On the casino side in the United States, that means being at least 21 years old and playing in Michigan, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, or West Virginia. In Canada, you can earn by playing in Ontario, where BetMGM is active and legal.
Only real-money bets on BetMGM Casino are eligible to earn BRPs. If you play with promotional credit, you will not receive any BRPs for that play.
The best part of the BetMGM Rewards program is that you are automatically enrolled at no additional cost as soon as BetMGM verifies your account and first deposit. When you’re ready to try your luck, risking your slot bankroll can get you into the good stuff.
How Does BetMGM Award Loyalty Points?
While BetMGM provides many different online gambling experiences that players are free to choose from, not all games earn BRPs at the same rate. This is great news for slot fans because slots are king in this regard.
BetMGM credits your account with 20 BRPs and 20 Tier Credits for each $100 you risk on instant-win games or regular slots that do not offer opportunities to win progressive jackpots. You can also earn 10 BRPs and 10 Tier Credits for each $100 in bets on slots with chances at progressive jackpots.
Table game aficionados are not left out, as every $100 in bets on table games earns four BRPs and four Tier Credits. As your points add up, so do the perks.
The Relationship Between BRPs and Tiers in BetMGM Rewards
BetMGM Rewards doesn’t just give you several ways to redeem your points. The program also expresses appreciation for your loyalty as you earn them through a tiered system.
Players begin at the Sapphire Tier, and advance if they hit certain Tier Credits balance thresholds within a calendar year. Remember, with every qualifying wager, you will earn BRPs and Tier Credits.
Note that means a calendar year from your enrollment, not when the calendar turns from one year to the next. The other three tiers are open to all players. Their Tier Credits balance thresholds are:
- Pearl — 20,000 Tier Credits
- Gold — 75,000 Tier Credits
- Platinum — 200,000 Tier Credits
There is also a NOIR tier which is by invitation only. Tier statuses reset annually. Tier Credits accumulated during a Tier Status Earning Year determine a member’s Tier Status for the following Tier Status Benefit Year.
At the Pearl, Gold, Platinum, and NOIR tiers, your BRPs earning rates get a boost. That’s just the beginning of the benefits you’ll enjoy, though.
The Perks of Climbing the Tier Ladder
BetMGM Rewards provides benefits and flexibility to all players, even those at the Sapphire tier. Those benefits include a special gift on the anniversary of your first win, another on your birthday, and several choices for redeeming your BRPs.
As you move up the tiers, the perks only get better. For starters, you get a 10% to 40% boost to your points earning rate as you move up the tiers. Additionally, the Tier Status earned applies to both BetMGM Rewards and MGM Rewards.
Those in the Gold to NOIR tiers also get special credits when they reach them. If you reach the Platinum and NOIR tiers, your access to premium customer support is guaranteed.
Of course, you can always redeem your BRPs for free play on BetMGM. However, many more of the best extras the BetMGM Rewards program offers are available offline.
Converting Online Gambling Fun to Offline Experiences
BetMGM Rewards is the only online casino loyalty program that allows players to exchange their rewards points for MGM Rewards points and/or Marriott Bonvoy® Points. When you link your Marriott Bonvoy® account and MGM Rewards account to your BetMGM account, you can choose how many of the points you would like to transfer.
Those transfers can open up a new world of experiences at Marriott Bonvoy® locations around the globe. At MGM Resorts properties in the United States, there is even more for BetMGM players to enjoy.
Pearl through NOIR tier members get special treatment at MGM Resorts destinations, including complimentary tickets to select events at MGM Resorts properties and free self-parking. Moving to Gold gives you even more VIP experiences, like complimentary valet parking, more choices in accommodations, and waived resort fees.
Platinum and NOIR tier members even get credit toward their airfare to select MGM Resorts locations in the US. All of these rewards are possible just for choosing to gamble online with BetMGM.
