Sometimes a classic slot is in order, and Phone Tag, found on Blitzoo’s Lobstermania Slots app, is a great example of a game that stands the test of time. Having found popularity on casino floors across the country, the game is now found on Lobstermania Slots for iOS and Android devices.
Let’s explore the game, and how you can play it for free!
Base Game
Phone Tag features a 5×3 reel set and 15 lines. Lower symbols are various calling instruments, from two cans and a string all the way to the modern cell phone. The premium symbols are characters (and a robot!) making phone calls. There’s eight pay table symbols plus the wild for the base game pays.
As an older game, it’s pretty straightforward, with lower volatility than you’ll find on many of today’s slots, which can be fun for those who are tired of the massive swings back and forth. But it also means the line hits have some pretty powerful punch.
There is a progressive jackpot on hand here, which is awarded when you get five of a kind of the wild symbol. The progressive is unique to each bet level, and so it’s worth looking around, as sometimes a lower bet amount had a better progressive on offer than higher ones!
Gossip Bonus
The Gossip symbols on reels 1, 2 and 3, when landing all together, trigger this bonus.
With the Gossip Bonus, you select a character, and then a game of Phone Tag begins, with each character calling the next one over until it hits a point where it wraps back around to the original caller. All prizes shown to that point are awarded, and then you return to the base game.
There are a couple of special elements – a multiplier can appear, multiplying the bonus win between 2x and 5x the values shown. A “free calls” element can place 2-4 free calls, awarding additional prizes.
Call Around the World Bonus
With this bonus, three or more scattered rocket symbols trigger the bonus. Each space that featured a rocket transforms into a single spinning reel, which can reveal credit prizes, a Busy symbol which is effectively a “spin again” symbol, and a No Answer symbol, which ends the collection of prizes in that space.
The bonus continues until all the spaces that started with rockets end with No Answer symbols, in which all the credit prizes accumulated are awarded.
Lobstermania Slots Exclusive Features
One of the unique aspects of playing on the Lobstermania Slots social casino app is that there are versions of Phone Tag that add exclusive elements only found on the app. Each one requires a small ante bet, but layers on an additional feature:
- Vegas Jackpots: A picking bonus where you pick for one of five Jackpots. The first jackpot you match three of a kind is the one you win. The jackpots grow proportionally to your spin amount, so bigger spins mean bigger jackpots. They are also progressive jackpots, so they grow as the game is played until one is won and reset.
- Hot Roll Progressives: When triggered, you roll the dice for a prize. A 7 or higher triggers a progressive jackpot, while a 6 or less offers a flat jackpot.
There are unlocked at higher levels by leveling up. Or, watch an ad and you can unlock these variations for a few minutes at a time! There’s also periodic days where all games are unlocked, if you want to give them a try.
