When the topic of hosts comes up, many are curious if they qualify for a host. Today’s player knows she spends money at the casino, but can’t seem to qualify for one:
Why don’t I have a host? I come often and spend A LOT of money getting only $5 or $10 at a time, a few times per week.

Based on the offer structure you’re describing, we are going to assume you’re breaking the cardinal rule that would qualify you for better offers and access to a host – spreading your money too thin.
Let’s share two examples. Player A goes to the casino twice a week and brings $100 to spend each visit. Player B goes to the casino once per month and brings $800-1,000 per visit. In both examples each player is budgeting to spend about the same amount of money per month. But the casino sees Player A as a $100 per visit player and player B as an $800-1,000 per visit player.
Why does that matter? Because the way casino offers work, they’re built based on what it will take to encourage an additional visit. In Player A’s case, they value that next visit as $100, because that’s what that player spends each time they visit. And similarly, they value Player B’s visit as $800-$1,000, because that’s what that player spends each visit.
So Player B will get much better offers, even though they spend just as much as Player A.
Another way to look at this is the Average Daily Theoretical, or ADT – how much per casino day will a player spend? This is often important when multiple day trips are involved – for local casinos most casino trips are contained to a day, so the visit amount and the ADT amount would be similar.
Given you get $5-10 a few times per week, we’re presuming you go pretty often, and that spend accumulates, but because each visit is smaller in value, the offers reflect that.
If you’re only bringing $100 at a time, for instance, there’s not much a casino host can do above/beyond the offers you already get – their job is to take care of players but not necessarily to overcomp them relative to their play.
If you want to see better offers, and maybe an opportunity to connect with a host, the trick is to build up your budget and visit less often. Become more like Player B than Player A.
Now, some want to visit the casino more frequently because they enjoy it. That’s OK too! But it just means being accepting of what the casino offers will be from those more frequent visits.
