The second major tournament of the season goes down this weekend, as the top golfers congregate at Aronimink Golf Club for the 2026 PGA Championship. We’ve already seen significant line movement in advance of this year’s tournament. We’re anticipating more adjustments, as bettors evaluate the field and get their wagers down.
Let’s take a look at the course and which golfers are seeing the most action for the PGA Championship!
The Course
Located in Newton Square, PA, Aronimink Golf Club is a par-70, 7,394-yard behemoth. An undulating course, length may not be an issue for today’s professional golfers. Still, fairway accuracy will be a deciding factor, as Aronimink features an array of bunkers. Solid iron play and greenside patience will be rewarded, setting the stage for one of the most memorable PGA Championships in recent memory.
Biggest Line Movers
As is the case every tournament, we’ve seen a few golfers fly up the odds board in advance of this week’s major.
Cameron Young
For years, Cameron Young was on the precipice of golf stardom. It’s all coming together for the American in 2026.
Already with two wins this season, Young has vaulted from a +8000 underdog to a +1200 contender. As expected, that massive swing is validated by Young’s tidy analytics profile.
So far this season, Young ranks second on the tour in Strokes Gained. He does his best work off the tee, ranking sixth on the tour in SG rating, which will play well at Aronimink. That long play is complemented by his 21st ranking in Strokes Gained from the fairway, another critical consideration in Pennsylvania.
If Young can minimize putting mistakes, he could have the most triumphant win of his young career.
Matt Fitzpatrick
Like his American counterpart, Matt Fitzpatrick has had a breakout campaign this season. The Briton has three wins and five top 10 finishes in 2026. He will be looking to add a second major championship to his trophy case at the PGA Championship.
The 2022 US Open winner typically reserves his best work for the biggest tournaments. Fitzpatrick has finished top seven in every major, including a fifth-place finish at the 2022 PGA Championship. Bettors are expecting another memorable performance, moving Fitzpatrick from +5000 to +2200.
The key for Fitzpatrick will be doing most of the heavy lifting with his irons. He gives up strokes with his putter, so sticking approach shots close to minimize exposure will determine how successful he is this weekend. With plenty of length off the tee and one of the best approach games on tour, Fitzpatrick is a legitimate contender.
Justin Rose
Justin Rose sits a more distant +4000 in this week’s event, but that still represents a significant jump from his opening price of +10000. A PGA Tour veteran, Rose is hoping to validate that movement with the second major championship of his career.
After staying in contention at The Masters, Rose has followed his T-3 finish at Augusta with disappointing finishes at The Miami and Fruits Championships. Still, the Briton is one of the best on tour from the fairway. If he can offset his driver limitations with elite iron play, Rose will be positioned for a top finish at Aronimink.
Scottie Scheffler Effect
Not quite a modern-day Tiger Woods, Scottie Scheffler is at the top of every major futures board. The 2026 PGA Championship is no exception.
The four-time major champion is looking to defend his PGA Championship title. With just one win so far this season, Scheffler isn’t having the best start to his career, but the betting market isn’t discounting his chances ahead of Thursday’s opening round.
Scheffler is still priced as the odds-on favorite, holding steady as +450 chalk. Predictably, that aligns with one of the premier analytics profiles on tour. Scheffler ranks first in Strokes Gained this season, sitting fifth in driving, 42nd in approach, and 14th in putting.
Even though it hasn’t been his best year to date, we’re not discounting Scottie Scheffler’s chances at Aronimink.
