Every once and a while, it’s nice to play a game with a totally different feel. One of those more unique titles is Kong 4 Even Bigger Bananas by White Hat Studio. In this game, you’ll work to unlock a trail that comes with different features along the way. Plus, you have the ability to spin into a number of bonus rounds!
If you decide to try your luck and take on Kong for yourself, read on below to learn all about the various, and numerous, features.
Base Game
Before we jump into the features, let’s cover the base game. When you first sit down to play Kong 4 Even Bigger Bananas, you can choose to play the game at a minimum of 10 cents per spin or one of the other bets that caps out at $25.
Kong 4 Even Bigger Bananas is not a line based game. Instead, you are playing 4,096 ways. This means that all you are looking for is matching symbols to land on consecutive reels. The game pays left to right, which means as long as you have matching symbols working their way out, reel by reel, you have a win on your hands.
When it comes to symbols, the jungle themed characters are going to be worth the most. Starting at the top, the highest paying symbol is a golden gorilla, wearing both a crown and large chain. The chain is marked with a “K” for Kong. Six of the golden kong symbols will pay 10x your base bet.
Next up we have the rhino wearing a blue scarf and a tiger wearing glasses. Both of these symbols pay the same, 5x the base bet. After that is an eyepatch clad parrot and green crocodile. Six of either of these will pay 4x your base bet. The parrot and crocodile are followed by royal symbols 9, 10, J, Q, K, and A. These symbols pay less than the themed characters, ranging from 2x to 2.4x total base bet if six land one per reel from left to right.
Line hits get some help from wilds in Kong 4 Even Bigger Bananas. A wild symbol can appear during the base game on reels two, three, four, five, and six. The wild symbol cannot land on reel one. This wild scatter symbol substitutes for all symbols with the exception of additional scatters, Cash Collect, or Cash Prize icons.
Cash Collect Feature
Speaking of Cash Collect, to trigger this feature, you are hoping for two things to happen. First, you need what is called a “Cash Collect symbol” to land on either reel one or six- it can technically fall on both! Then, you also need to score a “Cash Prize symbol” on any of the reels. Regardless of which Cash Collect symbol you capture, it will expand to cover the entire reel and collect any cash prize symbols. We cover the different types of Cash Collect symbols below.
At the top of the screen there is a map that shows a trail leading from left to right. Every time you capture one of the Cash Collect symbols, it gets marked on the map. The goal is to complete the trail by gathering as many of those Cash Collect symbols as possible. You do not need to land both a banana (Cash Prize symbol) and the collection symbol for it to count, just a Cash Collection symbol will do.
Remember, you can land these on reels one and six, so it is possible to collect two in one spin. The farther along you make it, the more special Cash Collection symbols are unlocked. You can follow your progress by taking a look at the map; anything that is shown in color has been unlocked. Each special Cash Collection symbol comes with its own twist on the original. The special Cash Collect symbols are:
- Win Smash: Once triggered, Kong will hit the reels. When he does this, existing cash prize symbols can be upgraded and new symbols can be added. Kong can hit the reels more than once! This will bump up your original win amount.
- Win Spinner Collect: The Win Spinner Collect Kong will spin any of your reels that already has cash prize symbols in view. From there, the spin will reveal new values and cash prizes. This will result in a higher win than what was originally shown.
- Win Strike Collect: All cash prizes symbols in view will be increased. Values can be increased up to 5x. Like the above, this special feature will result in a higher win than what was originally displayed.
Banana Blitz
Things start to get very interesting once you unlock the bowl of bananas on the trail map. This occurs after you unlock all the special Cash Collection Kongs. Once activated, on any spin that results in some banana cash symbols on screen, regardless if there is a cash collect symbol, you could activate the Banana Blitz.
When triggered, this feature presents you with three choices. Behind these three choices are a variety of possible prizes including:
- Bonus Boost: Only available in the base game. While the reels are spinning, additional bonus symbols are added to the reels. You are guaranteed to hit at least three.
- Kong Win Spin: A guaranteed win! Multiple top paying symbols are added to the reels.
- Super Collect: Collect all cash prizes seen on the reels
- Kong Collect: A collect symbol will be added to either reels one or six. In some cases, a collect symbol will be added to both reels one and six!
- Kong Add: Kong will throw bananas onto your reels. This will cause some of the reels to spin through cash prize symbols. Kong Add can also result in the addition of any of the collect symbols on reels one, six, or both.
- Win Reel: The reels will transform into a Win Wheel that you will spin for the chance to win one of three prizes. The first option is winning 10x, 20x, 50x, 200x, or 1,000x your base bet. The second outcome is a Mystery Prize that ranges from 5-10x your total bet in the base game and 5-15x in the bonus games. The final option is a bonus.
- +Bonus Spins: You can win up to an additional five bonus spins. This prize is only available while in the Kong Bonus Spins and Kong Big Bonus Spins.
Kong Bonus Spins
During the base game, you can score free games by landing at least three of the bonus triggers. In this game, the bonus trigger is Kong’s chain. You are looking to land at least three of the golden chains that say “Kong.”
Regardless of how many triggers you land, you will always get 10 Kong Bonus Spins or 10 Kong Big Bonus Spins (if unlocked) or five Kong Colossal Cash Spins (once unlocked). If you score more than three of the triggers, you win a little extra based on your original bet amount. Four of the triggers will give 20x base bet, five is worth 100X, and if you land six triggers, the game pays 500x base bet.
- Kong Bonus Spins: During any of the feature spins, if a cash collect symbol lands, you will win the prize for each of those symbols. You can earn additional spins and cash collect multipliers.
- Collect 3 additional cash collect symbols to earn an additional five spins plus a 2X multiplier for any collected values
- Collect 3 additional cash collect symbols beyond that (6 total) to earn an additional five spins plus a 3X multiplier for any collected values
- Collect 3 additional cash collect symbols (9 total) to earn an additional five spins plus a 5X multiplier for any collected values
- Collect 3 additional cash collect symbols (12 total) to earn an additional five spins plus a 10X multiplier for any collected values
- Kong Big Bonus Spins: When this feature is unlocked on the trail map, you can score the Kong Big Bonus Spins when the scatters fall into place. This will award 10 Kong Big Bonus Spins. To start, you pick a golden monkey to see what feature upgrades you will be given. You can win up to five. Feature upgrade options include:
- Blitz Boost: more of a chance to trigger the Banana Blitz
- +Spins: Win up to an additional five bonus spins
- Cash Attack: All other symbols besides Cash Prize and Cash Collets are removed from the bonus reels. (Note: The Super Collect cannot trigger during this upgrade)
- +Banana: More Cash Prize symbols (bananas) are added to the reels
- Trail Boost: Trail multipliers will be increased to 3x, 4x, 6x, and 15x
- Collect Arrow: Increased chance of upgraded collect symbols making an appearance
- +Wheel: More Win Wheel symbols are added
- +Golden Barrels: Higher chance of landing a Golden Barrels
- Start Spins: Upgrade collection is over and the bonus is ready to start
- Kong Colossal Cash Spins: If you’re able to unlock the entire trail, once you make it to the end you will be given a choice if you land three or more of the bonus symbols. You can pick between The Kong Big Bonus Spins or the Kong Colossal Cash Spins. The King Colossal Cash Spins bonus will award you five spins with a special cash collect symbol that appears as a 2×2. The goal is to collect level up symbols, the more you collect the higher chance you have for additional spins and an even bigger collection symbol. The 2×2 symbol can grow all the way to 6×4 if you collect 15.
- Collect 5 level up symbols to earn three additional spins and grow the cash collector to 3×3
- Collect 9 level up symbols to earn two additional spins and grow the cash collector to 4×4
- Collect 12 level up symbols to earn two additional spins and grow the cash collector to 5×4
- Collect 15 level up symbols to earn one additional spin and grow the cash collector to 6×4
Jackpot Royale Bonus
As if Kong 4 Even Bigger Bananas Jackpot Royale Express didn’t have enough going on, there is a secondary feature located to the left of your screen called the “Jackpot Royale Express.” To trigger this feature, you are hoping to land five or more of the fireball icons. These icons appear on top of the normal symbols.
This feature is available during any spin and at all bet sizes. After you collect the required fireballs, you will spin a wheel to see what you will win- you can win a bet multiplier (against your base bet) or one of five jackpots.
