In a word, yes. In fact, that’s the point.
But they’re not tracking it to manipulate anything, something many players believe. Casinos, like many other industries, have evolved to be reliant on big data.
What do they use this data for? Knowing how their players play, how often, and on what games, can help casinos better target and improve their offers to various players.
Before players cards, casinos would give comps largely on discretion and observation. The advent of players cards and being able to read data meant that for the first time they had much more precise data about players.
This is actually a good thing for us as players, as your offers will reflect what you like to play, how often you like to play it, and what bet level you play at.
Players cards not only give you access to offers, but they can give you access to discounts in the shops or restaurants, earned comp dollars that you can spend on property (or at properties in multiple areas in the case of bigger casino companies), free play to gamble with, and more.
That’s all possible because they have the data to properly know what to offer you. It’s also possible because as players card programs have evolved, the multi-tier structure has become commonplace, and as you tier up, you tend to get access to more perks that can oftentimes save players money. After all, you’ve invested a lot in visiting those casinos!
Most importantly, while they do capture and track a lot of data, it does NOT impact how a game plays or pays. Players card systems are not designed to do this, and gaming regulations get in the way of this being possible as well. So we strongly advise players to always use their players cards to make sure the casinos see all your play, and in turn ensure you get access to the rewards and offers that you’re deserving of from them!

If you going to play always use your Players Club Card. Typically the rewards are generous and personalized.
However, always set your limit not only for the day but for the week, month or year. Don’t chase!!
Gambling can be fun and rewarding at times but don’t get to a point where you need to win. Play your recreational budget only.
Again if you play use your rewards card.
Playing without your rewards card is like leaving money on the table. You shouldn’t play for comps, but if you play, get the comps you should earn for your play! We’re with you, Joseph!
