Brian Christopher has certainly spent his share of time playing high limit slot machines. One of the things he’s become more energized about over time is the pursuit of high limit Major progressive jackpots.
As more games often found in lower denominations have been given the higher limit treatment, such as Dragon Link, it’s opened up the doors to bigger majors as well. Newer Link games increase the Major on higher denominations, but the earlier games had one Major across all denominations. To adjust, higher limit versions were introduced.
Here are some sessions Brian had going after high limit Major jackpots, and some of his successes with that pursuit.
Rakin’ Bacon High Limit Major
Rakin’ Bacon is often seen in a low denomination format, but a high limit version at dime denomination was also introduced. Brian got a high limit major on that format:
In games like this the frequency of getting the progressive pick increases with higher bets, but the chances of winning those top jackpots continue to be the same in any individual picking screen. So Brian was caught off guard when he actually managed a Major jackpot.
Last Spin Major on Dragon Cash
Brian’s first high limit Major on Dragon Cash came courtesy of this session, where he got it on his last spin:
Here the major starts at $5,000 and goes to as high as $10,000. Brian managed to get an $8,786 Major, a sizable outcome given the range available, and it certainly set off a pursuit of more on the channel.
Buffalo Cash Group Slot Pull
One of the biggest majors on the channel at the time landed during a high limit group slot pull on Buffalo Cash:
This was one of Brian’s first mega group slot pulls, which feature a lot more participants, and higher bets because of the bigger pool available for the group.
At the time, this was by far the biggest win seen on a group pull on the channel, and was one of the more epic scenarios that could have happened.
Huff N’ Puff High Limit Major
Brian’s first ever high limit major came on a difficult game: Huff N’ Puff:
Brian was playing at Park MGM in their high limit room, and was calling for a coin, but you could hear in his voice the surprise when the Major actually dropped.
Right around the same time he had captured a sizable Major on the low limit version, so the game had been pretty good to him during that window of time. Fans certainly seem to love the game, as Huff N’ Puff and its sequel continue to be among the most asked for games on the channel.
Brian’s First Lightning Dollar Link Triple Major
Brian was just getting to know the new Lightning Dollar Link when he got one of the most rare scenarios:
He hit Triple Major, and didn’t know initially what that meant, but it yielded being paid out three times for its high limit Major progressive jackpot, worth more than $15,000!
Lucky Chance Random Major
A combination of unusualness is in Brian’s biggest high limit Major as of this writing:
Brian was doing $125 spins but only putting in $100 at a time, hoping for the Lucky Chance spin to achieve it. He got the spin, and then an even weirder moment happened – some balls dropped, but not enough for the bonus. The bell rang anyway.
Brian got the rare Random Major Jackpot, which paid out immediately more than $29,000! At that point it became his biggest win on the channel, although that has already been supplanted by other bonus.

Hi,
I truly liked the idea of “$100 shares” in a group pull. If someone wants to put in $100, or whatever you consider the minimum, great. If someone wants to put in a grand and assume more risk/reward, that works too. Unless you’re already selecting a different type of machine for the $200 as opposed to the $500 pulls, it would seem to work. Granted, there is more work in handing out the money, but I believe that it would make it easier to fill the events.
cheers,
Thanks for the suggestion Scott! We’ll do Mega Group Pulls (which is what you’re describing) in certain scenarios, mostly when there’s the capacity to do so and we’re working with a larger crowd, like Rudies Weekend or the Brian Christopher Slots Cruises. We often don’t do it in other scenarios largely because of space and casino considerations.
