Big Time Gaming certainly knows what they’re doing to create some exciting online slot games, and one of their classics is the Bonanza slot game. It’s a Megaways game with cascading reels and a bonus that features a growing multiplier – all the key features you love and expect from a traditional Megaways game.
Let’s go through the core features and where you can play this exciting slot!
Base Game
This is a pretty straightforward Megaways slot. Megaways generally have a number of features in common:
- Megaways games traditionally have six reels and are an all ways pays approach – no pay lines, just symbols on successive reels.
- They have variable reel heights, each landing anywhere from 2-7 spaces. The total ways to win if all reels end up with 7 spaces is 117,649 ways.
- They have four spaces outside the standard reel sets on reels 2-5 that are part of the all ways pays format.
- Pays are awarded, and then then the symbols disappear, allowing more to drop in, and perhaps triggering further pays – this is known as cascading reels.
Bonanza features all of these qualities, making it a pretty traditional game in that format. There’s wild symbols that can be wild for any symbol except the scatter. That’s because the scatter symbol is how you trigger the free games.
Free Games
Four bonus symbols (each spelling out the letters in GOLD) yield 12 free games. Additional scatter symbols adds 5 free games. During the free games, wins continue to cascade like before, but with the addition of a multiplier that grows with each win. As the multiplier increases, the pays can get quite sizable!
Retriggers are possible, with three scatters offering 5 more free spins, and four scatters offering 10 more free games.
While there isn’t anything specific or unusual about this particular game, fans of Megaways games will like the pure simplicity of this game, as it’s got all the core features without any additional bells and whistles.
