Snake Arena comes from a line of inventive games by Relax Gaming, that breaks the mold a bit but still features a lot that’s familiar to slot players. Let’s take a look at the main features, as well as seeing the game in action.
Base Game
The game is a 5 reels, 5 space high tall reels, but features a pretty traditional 30 lines structure.
The game features two types of wild symbols – a snake, which can take up multiple spaces, and a knight. Those symbols will become important when seen together, as we’ll cover in a moment.
Overall the base game is pretty standard, but there’s a great feature and bonus that drive a lot of the excitement.
Wild Chase
On any base game play, the Wild Chase feature can trigger, with anywhere from 1 to 5 reels becoming completely wild. The snake and knight symbols will interplay on the top and bottom of a reel – if they line up on the same reel, that reel will become wild. If they miss three times, the feature ends, and the non-wild reels come to a stop.
With the potential of multiple wild reels, this can be a great win for those spins!
Free Spins
If the snake head and the knight appear on the reels on the same spin, the free spins are triggered. Each spin a knight will appear, and the snake will weave its way through the board. If the snake successfully eats the knight, it grows by one space and another spin occurs. If it reaches itself first, the bonus is over.
Keep in mind both the snake and its growing body, as well as the knight, both are wild, so a long bonus can mean a lot of great free spin wins.
If the snake manages to fill the entirety of reels 2-5, the free spins conclude, with a final bonus of 1000x the wager amount. This is on top of everything that is won throughout the free spins bonus!
Buy Bonus
If you want to get right to the free spins, you can buy a bonus for 70x the selected wager amount. You are guaranteed the free spins, and still have a chance at that 1000x prize for filling all of reels 2-5 with a snake (albeit not an easy goal to accomplish).
