By now you’ve probably encountered your share of “shaky shaky” moments on a slot machine, where the game gives an indication something good, like a bonus or a big win, is about to happen. A player wanted to know this element’s role in getting a bonus:
Shaky Shakys vs. Natural Bonuses/Big Wins. Are they really a feature or are they generally a flashy gimmick that makes the player believe the machine “gave” them the bonus?

Let’s rip the band-aid off on this one: A Shaky Shaky by itself does not give the bonus, and the bonus would have landed with or without the Shaky Shaky element.

A slot machine’s outcome is determined at the time you hit play to start the reels spinning. At that moment, based on what the RNG provides as the outcome at that exact moment, the game knows whether a bonus will land.
So, some games will also sometimes weave in a “Shaky Shaky” moment to precede the reels showing that a big win or bonus has landed. There’s an industry term for this, called a “precog,” which we understand means a previous recognition that something’s happening.
Historically these elements have been love it or hate it with players. At the beginning, when they began becoming more commonplace, some players hated that they gave away that something was about to happen, but the majority of players seemed to get excited that something cool was about to land.
So, like other elements that players have indicated they favor, they’ve become more commonplace, and you’ll now find the element on all sorts of slot machines and are pretty standard practice now. But the game would’ve done the same exact thing with or without the Shaky Shaky, so it’s effectively just some fun (and sometimes beautiful looking) window dressing.

We’re glad you’re having a good run, John!
I wasn’t aware the Luxury Line games even had a shaky shaky until it shooky shooky and let me hit the grand on my $1.60 bet…. so my vote is LOVE IT!! 🤣
Yes Chris, we think that’s a fair reason to like the feature ourselves. Congratulations on that amazing moment!
