Playing with your players card ensures you get the offers you’re eligible to receive based on your play. But what happens if you don’t put your card in first?
Can you put your players card in after you put your money in and still earn points?

Generally speaking, your play is rated when your card is in. If you put money in first, then your card, and then start playing, you’re fine. If you do spins and realize your card’s not in, and then you insert it, you will only get credit for spins completed after you put the card in.
It’s a bit of a flaw in the system, but it’s the system with which we have access. Because of this and other reasons like malfunctioning card readers, this is one reason why the IRS won’t accept just win/loss statements if you’re audited – it’s far from a flaw-free way to track play, and oftentimes play is left out because we forget (or even choose to play without in some cases).
That said, if you realize you forgot to insert it at the beginning of your session, you don’t have to cash out to activate your session – just put the card in, and at least from that point you’ll get credit for the play you’re continuing to do from there. It’s certainly better than nothing, and can help you at least count some of your play.
Another common mistake players make around their card is not catching that their card has timed out if they take a long break while playing, or are in a bonus where you don’t bet for an extended period. It’s helpful to double check your card’s session remains active, so you don’t miss out on the players card system recording all of your play.
