Today’s question is another one of those where the casino is presumed to have way more control than it does:
Can the casino pick from the cameras, who wins? I think so.

You can breathe easier knowing they have no more control over any one person’s payouts than we do ourselves.
The casino’s cameras are there for security, so they can ensure nothing untoward is going on. This can be anything from making sure the cage is secure to seeing who pressed the button when a jackpot was hit (to ensure the right person is taking credit for the win).
But that surveillance doesn’t extend to payouts on slots. Casinos themselves don’t have the ability to select the winners and losers, so they definitely can’t delegate that power to staff.
If anything, casinos would never empower staff to have that kind of power because it’s an obvious security risk where some staff member could make sure their friends win and everyone else loses, for instance.
Casinos can set the machine’s payout setting, but they can’t control individual outcomes, or the timing of those outcomes. That’s left to chance and the random number generator. They also don’t need to do anything but make that selection and let the machine do its thing, as it will over the long term make money for them.
It’s simple probability. Set up a machine that’s designed to make money for the casino over time, let it run for some amount of time, and like magic (even though it’s by design), the casino will make money.
We understand the instinct some will have to want to put some sort of nefarious control in the hands of the casinos, but it’s so much simpler than that – they don’t need to target any of us, because as a group we’ll play enough, on machines with a specific edge towards the house, that they’ll make their money.

It seems like I win a couple times then for the next three or four times I loose then next time I win again. It just seems like they give me a little bit to keep playing then take it back over and over 🤣
The casino has to make their money somehow! But we’re glad those winning sessions do come up enough to make it enjoyable!
I try to tell my mom she is 85 that they are not sitting in booths monitoring you play a slot and decide “I don’t like this person so I don’t want them to win” she still thinks that is what they do though. She is stubborn in her older age lol.
We certainly get it! Old habits die hard but it’s great mom still engages in something she enjoys!
