There is something comforting about knowing what to expect- both in life and when it comes to slots. If you’re looking for an easy game to understand while playing from home, IGT’s online version of Triple Gold might just be the thing for you!
Before you jump in and try your luck, read on to see what minor differences exist between the landside version of the game and this newer online version. Then, when you’re ready to try your luck on your own, we’ve got a recommendation for where you can play!
Base Game

Triple Gold, not to be confused with Triple Gold Bars, is a very straightforward game offering you the chance to play a minimum of one line, up to a maximum of five. While some games offer confusing payout structures, Triple Gold could not make it more simple. Three of the lines run straight across the rows and the other two play the role of opposing diagonals, running from corner to corner.
The lines pay when three symbols land next to each. Like with most of the older reel games, this can be a mix of symbols, just as long as there are three on an active payline. Looking specifically at Triple Gold, this can be a combination of “sevens” or even a mix of “bars” and “sevens.”
The highest paying symbol is the coveted set of three red sevens. This symbol gets even more lucrative when one of the triple gold symbols gets slapped on top – more on this later.
As far as bet sizes go, this game offers a little something for everyone. The starting bet sits at 25 cents, offering steady increases all the way up to the max bet of a whopping $2,500 per spin. Playing five lines? That’s $500 per line!
Multiplier Feature
We’re not going to beat around the bush, if you’re looking to play a title that features a free game bonus, this is not the game for you. Instead of offering free game spins, Triple Gold offers the prospect of truly delicious line hits thanks to the name sake of the game- the branded triple gold bar.
Like the name suggests, you’re hoping for three of the gold bar symbols labeled “Triple” to lock into place and confer their multiplier. Each triple gold symbol multiplier that lands on an active pay line ups the ante… you guessed it, by multiples of three.

- One Triple Gold Symbol: While three is obviously the goal, you can still get a decent payout for any combination of symbols, especially sevens, that include at least one triple gold symbol. Each triple gold symbol multiplies line wins by three.
- The screenshot is showing a diagonal line win (starting lower left) of $120 at a $10 bet. The other $12 is courtesy of the opposite diagonal payline, the mix of bars plus the singular seven with the triple gold symbol.

- Two Triple Gold Symbols: Every time two triple gold symbols appear on an active line, wins are multiplied by nine.
- Three Triple Gold Symbols: Every time three triple gold symbols appear on an active line, wins are multiplied by 27.
The top prize is won with three triple red 7s with the triple gold symbols on the second and third reels with those symbols. The payout increases per line, so there is a slight payout premium for playing all five lines, as the top prize is unavailable unless you’re playing five lines.
