The Ultimate Fire Link series has been around for a decade now, and in recent years, various mashups, such as Ultimate Fire Link Cash Falls, have expanded the brand in different directions. It was inevitable that a three-pot version would come out, but the result of Ultimate Fire Link Triple Nova Desert Nights is a variation that raises the bar and brings fresh excitement to a classic slot series.
Let’s look at the Ultimate Fire Link Triple Nova Desert Nights slot and how you can play it for free on Jackpot Party casino.
Base Game
The Ultimate Fire Link Triple Nova series starts with the same foundation as most Fire Link games. There’s a 5×4 reel set, stacks of wilds for support in landing line hits, and a mix of royal symbols and premium ones for various ways to win.
One of the biggest changes here vs. most versions of Fire Link is the removal of a Free Games element. The Fire Link Feature is always the star of the show, so it makes sense to focus all the energy on the one bonus.
That, combined with higher bet increments than the original series, means the bonuses are increasingly important and potent. But if you don’t get a bonus, it can burn down your coin balance quickly.
The three fireballs above the reels grow as various fireballs linked to them appear on the reels. The size of these do not indicate how close you are to a bonus, similar to other games of this type. But those familiar with this sort of visual may anticipate what to expect as part of the Fire Link Feature.
Fire Link Feature
Some small changes have been made here as well in response to the addition of the three-pot format. First, only one fireball appears at a time on any given reel. Four fireballs are still an automatic trigger of the bonus, but any one fireball can trigger a bonus as well. (If you trigger with less than four, fireballs will be added at the start of the bonus to get you to four.)
Each fireball also now matches up with one of three potential upgrades to the Fire Link bonus. You will always trigger at least one upgrade, and can trigger multiple, so those familiar with the three-pot format will find the standard structure here of seven different bonus permutations possible. Whatever fireballs land when the feature is triggered, the corresponding upgrades they’re tied to will activate.
The three upgrades possible on the Desert Nights version of Ultimate Fire Link Triple Nova are:
- Hot Zone: Credit prizes can be randomly added on any feature spin to up to 15 fireballs that are locked on the reels.
- Meteor Shower: Additional balls can be added and locked to the reels, helping to unlock rows and resetting the spin counter.
- FireSpark: At the beginning of the bonus, a spinner will determine the value of each fireball with a spinner that lands. These are often heftier prizes than the average fireball and can build up as you collect more of these special fireballs.
Other variations of Ultimate Fire Link Triple Nova feature other upgrades, so be sure to keep an eye out for other themes to play in the future.
What hasn’t changed is that when you enter the Fire Link Feature, you start with four unlocked rows out of a possible eight. For every four additional fireballs you collect from the starting baseline of four, you unlock another row. So if you land at least 20 fireballs in unlocked rows throughout the bonus, you’ll have the entire grid unlocked. This is valuable because the top rows tend to contain bigger prizes.
Any prizes landed on unlocked rows are awarded after the bonus, and like other bonuses of this format, you have three spins to land another ball in an unlocked row, which resets the counter to three spins for a chance at more.
Consistent with the Fire Link series overall, all four jackpots on offer are available on any single fireball. The Mega can be won on the top row when unlocked, and the Major can be awarded on any of the top three rows when the row(s) is unlocked.
