Resort fees are almost completely unavoidable at Las Vegas casinos. Of the more than 60 properties surveyed, only Binion’s, Casino Royale, Four Queens, Railroad Pass, and Skyline have no resort fee.
These hidden costs have become controversial over the years. Guests often do not discover the fees until the checkout process. This makes it difficult to compare one hotel’s base price to another. Charging resort fees helps hotels hide the true cost of the room while also avoiding paying full commissions to online booking engines.
These hidden fees may become a thing of the past. The FTCruled under its Unavoidable Fees Rule that they must be fully disclosed in the room price in the same way airlines must display unavoidable fees during the booking process. The FTC considers hiding the amount bait-and-switch pricing.
The Strip
Resort fees are basically unavoidable on the Strip unless you have status with certain larger gaming companies, or your casino offer waives them as part of your offer.

The resort fee at MGM Resorts properties includes wireless internet access, unlimited local, national, and toll-free calls, access to Paramount+ and Showtime On Demand, airline boarding pass printing, digital newspaper and magazine access, and admission to the fitness center.
Gold, Platinum, and Noir members of MGM Rewards have resort fees waived. This is earned through spending at retail outlets and restaurants on the property or playing in the casino. The Gold tier requires at least 75,000 annual points.
Some players will receive waived resort fees as part of their casino offer, even if they have not achieved Gold status. The specific offer will indicate when booking if a resort fee is required.

Treasure Island’s resort fee is $49.95. It includes valet parking, copies, faxes, wireless internet, 2-for-1 drink coupon, local and long-distance calls, boarding pass printing, pool access, and a daily newspaper. Some weekday specials and players club offers waive the resort fee.
Venetian and Palazzo
Venetian and Palazzo’s resort fee is $55 per night. It includes fitness center passes, wireless internet access, digital magazines and newspapers, boarding pass printing, and local and toll-free calls.
Wynn and Encore
Wynn and Encore have a $55 per day resort fee. It includes wireless internet on unlimited devices, bottles of water, two daily fitness center passes, access to resort pools and sundecks, concierge services, a digital newsstand of magazines and newspapers, unlimited local, domestic long-distance and toll-free calls, and Alexa in-room services.
Resorts World
Resorts World adds a $55 per day resort fee. Wireless internet, smart TV casting, 10% off spa retail, 5% off spa services and pool rentals, PressReader news and magazine access, and local and domestic long-distance calls are included.
Fontainebleau
Fontainebleau’s resort fee is $55. It includes free self-parking, wireless internet on up to four devices, access to pools and sundecks, fitness center access, concierge services, and local and domestic long-distance calls.
Circus Circus
Circus Circus adds $45 per night for its resort fee. Amenities include free wireless internet, fitness center access, boarding pass printing, and free local and domestic long-distance calls.
Sahara
Sahara adds $54.95 to each night’s stay for its resort fee. It includes wireless internet, local and domestic long-distance calls, pool access, two bottles of water, a coupon book, free valet parking, notary service, and boarding pass printing services.
The Strat
The Strat has a $44.95 per day resort fee. It includes discounted observation tower and SkyJump tickets, free local and domestic calls, pool access, and fitness center passes.
Downtown
Binion’s and Four Queens do not charge resort fees. The other 10 downtown Las Vegas casinos charge one, which is added to the bill each night. The fees are lower than those charged by Las Vegas Strip casinos.
Boyd Gaming
Boyd Gaming operates California, Fremont, and Main Street Station. Each has a $32.99 resort fee. It covers self-parking, in-room safe, in-room refrigerator, local and domestic calls, wireless internet, boarding pass printing, and fitness center access at California.
Circa, Golden Gate, and The D
Circa, Golden Gate, and The D are owned by the same company. Circa has a $50 per night resort fee. It is $39.95 at Golden Gate and The D. Stadium Swim passes, wireless internet, fitness center access, concierge services, and local and long-distance calls are included. Stadium Swin is located at Circa. It is the pool and day club for each of the three properties.
Downtown Grand
Downtown Grand charges a $39 per night resort fee. Free self-parking, bottles of water, coupon book, wireless internet access, and fitness center and pool access are included.
El Cortez
El Cortez has a $30 per night resort fee. It includes free self-parking, two daily bottles of water, fitness center access, local calls, in-room coffee K-cups, boarding pass printing, and spa discounts.
