Casinos have not been the most generous in recent years when it comes to birthday free play, particularly in Las Vegas. There used to be a lot more offers out there to claim, but like many things they were cut back in the years leading up to and after the pandemic.
But during a recent visit we did confirm a few that are still going strong. So we decided to tackle it based on recent inquiries from those visiting our site via search:
What casinos give you free play on your birthday?
Google Search Question
This list was updated in January of 2026, and keep in mind it can change, so if you are making a purpose-built trip to visit for these goodies. We will revisit and update periodically as we learn of changes, and are only listing options that are confirmed and verified on the casinos’ websites, so other options may be out there.
Palms
The Palms has a kiosk promotion when it’s your birthday month. Swipe at the kiosk for a chance at up to $1,000 in free play! If you have other offers you can claim those concurrently with this.
The Palms is great for a lot of play and earn promotions, on top of any other comps you’ve earned outright. For instance, during a recent visit we were able to play and earn two buffet brunches and a luggage bag. Promotions rotate often, so it’s always good to see what’s running there!
Plaza Hotel & Casino
The Plaza has a birthday offer during the month of your birthday as well, but you must be at least their second tier (Bronze) to qualify for the promotion. Bronze requires 1,000 tier credits, or $4,000 in coin in for the year, to qualify – not particularly massive and certainly easier than by other casino tier standards.
At the Bronze level, for instance, we’ve seen $20 in additional free play consistently. We would presume higher level players would see higher options.
Sahara
Like the Palms, the Sahara has a kiosk promotion active the entire month of your birthday. In their case you can win up to $500, although it’s likely to be lower. Still, it’s another perk you can claim if you’re in Vegas any time during your birthday month.
Eureka
Details are more scarce, but their website confirms $10 in free play and $15 in comps when you celebrate your birthday at Eureka Casino.
Ellis Island
You have to visit on the day of your birthday, but Ellis Island’s website confirms a birthday kiosk free play offer when you do.
Here’s another property where there’s always a lot going on – for example, you can get a $9.99 top sirloin steak special with a nominal $5 in play (bets, not losses) on your card.
Wynn Rewards
Wynn’s rewards program has discrete birthday free credit guarantees for those who reach Platinum or Black tier status levels. The amount of the free play is based on your level of historic play.
A birthday dinner credit is also awarded, by the way, with $150 for Platinum members and $300 for Black card members. But it is a harder tier to accomplish than Plaza as well. If you are a Wynn regular this is a perk to not miss out on, but if you are their lowest tier you won’t need to worry about this stop.

the local Indian casino gives free play for birthdays, but it’s a kiosk thing and normally I’ve gotten 5 or 10 dollars, hardly worth yhe 24 mile drive.

I can confirm that the Palms does have free birthday slot play up to $1,000 all you need to do is swipe your players card at the kiosk and play the birthday cake game. Eureka casino gives you $10 free slot play if you celebrate your birthday with them plus an additional $15 food comp and they will match up to $25 free slot instantly. Sahara has birthday slot play too and we are on our way their now supposedly u can win up to $500.

Hello there fellow Leos! Hoping everyone is in good health and enjoying life! Also wanted to confirm, as of a week or so ago, The Palms does indeed have free play. You pick a candle on the cake at the kiosk. Gave me $25. Not bad considering I haven’t gambled there since 2022. I was so pleased with the gift I promptly gave it right back😏. Oh and don’t forget the Pass casino on Water Street has $15 for you and a $20 food voucher. I’m not sure if it has to be on your birthday but that’s when I got mine. Anyway good luck everybody!
