The imagination some of you have around what “must” be happening when I visit a casino is pretty wild. Despite showing all my wins and losses, some of you think I’m set up to win without fail:
So they tell you what machine to play right? They pay for your flight ✈️ comp your room and tell you what machine is going to hang off that great big win 🏆 💰 and you make sure you’re FILMING when it happens 🤪 that way the casino looks really enticing and you make it look so easy and it brings them in lots of traffic all the while your videos get monetized. Tell the truth

Sorry Jamie, if it were only that easy!
I’ll summarize some thoughts here, but for those who are new to me, you might want to check out my stance on Authentic Play, how I don’t always win (and neither does anyone else), and why it’s so important, since you so directly asked, that I do indeed tell the truth.
For starters, it is super rare that a casino flies me out anywhere, as that’s usually always on my dime for me and my team. And sure, just like every other big gambler out there, my food and room are covered based on play alone.
But let’s focus now on some of your questions.
Casinos Can’t Guarantee a Win
Imagine if employees had the ability to guarantee a player could win – why wouldn’t they ensure it’s a family member or someone who just paid them for that right? Casinos can’t set up a machine to ensure a win – they can’t even set machines to be over 100% return to player except in very specific cases (like video poker, which requires perfect play to achieve such a result, and most casinos won’t offer that anyway).
They can set a machine to a specific return to player percentage, but that’s a long term target, and slot manufacturers have set a minimum and maximum payback that a game is designed to offer. That’s why someone can win a jackpot, or not win at all, and it can still achieve that number over time – the randomness of slots is the wild card.
What Makes for a Successful Visit
You can go through my videos and see plenty of times where I have been invited to a game launch or to show off a casino, and things just don’t go my way. Clearly if they were leading me to the winning machines, that wouldn’t happen.
When I go to a game launch, my goal is to show off what makes the game special, win or lose. When I’m invited to a property, I aim to put on fun and exciting events, and in my videos show off their game selection and some of the amenities that players will appreciate, along with the slot play those watching are there to see.
Takeaway
My content has never been about just showing winning content. I show everything, so you see the reality of gambling. That doesn’t change because I’m asked to visit a property or show off a new game. It certainly is a fun moment when a big moment happens, but that’s never the plan – the plan is to have fun regardless of outcome, which should be the goal when visiting a casino and spending your entertainment budget.

Another case of that “perceived perception”. Someone loses on the slots but then sees one of your lucky days at the casino and only recalls that you won ( that one time perhaps that week) And since it isn’t their money you are losing on your down days, it doesn’t make any sort of an impression on their sense of recall .
This is a great example of confirmation bias, Jim! People see the wins and it reinforces their belief or memory that Brian always wins, even though the losses are out there a well!
