Defending Champion: Scottie Scheffler
FedEx Cup Leader: Ludvig Åberg
Outright Winner: Ludvig Åberg (+1600)
Ludvig Åberg has emerged as one of the brightest stars on the PGA Tour, currently leading the FedEx Cup standings. He already has one win in 2025, and two top-10 finishes in just four events played this year. His combination of power, accuracy, and confidence makes him an excellent value pick at +1600. Given his strong form, he has a legitimate chance to claim his biggest PGA Tour victory to date. Aberg has finished in the top 25 in both outings at this course.
Top-5 Finish: Hideki Matsuyama (+410)
Hideki Matsuyama is coming off a strong stretch in 2025, securing a win and four top-25 finishes in his six starts to put him third in the FedEx standings. The veteran golfer leads the PGA with an 82.9% save percentage. With his elite ball-striking and ability to grind on challenging courses like Bay Hill, he has a strong chance of finishing inside the top five. Matsuyama has made nine of ten cuts at the Arnold Palmer, with a career-best sixth-place finish to go along with a top-ten showing and five top-25 performances at Bay Hill. His experience and past success in big events make this a solid bet.
Top-10 Finish: Viktor Hovland (+320)
Viktor Hovland may not have a win yet in 2025, but he has consistently performed well on challenging courses. His ball-striking and ability to scramble around the greens will be key at Bay Hill. Hovland was a runner-up here in the 2021-22 season and has two top-ten finishes at Bay Hill. Given that he has multiple top-10 finishes in recent seasons, +320 offers solid value for him to place in that range once again.
Top-20 Finish: Min Woo Lee (+190)
Min Woo Lee has played four events in 2025 and finished inside the top 25 three times, showing great consistency. Lee made 16 of 19 cuts last season, along with eight top-25 finishes. His aggressive style of play and ability to handle difficult conditions make him a strong contender for a top-20 finish at Bay Hill. With his current form and momentum, this bet offers a good return.
First-Round Leader: Scottie Scheffler (+1200)
Scottie Scheffler is the defending champion, winning two of the past three Arnold Palmer Invitationals. His dominance at Bay Hill is evident, and he’s a strong starter in big events. The World’s No. 1 ranked golfer has gone 70 or lower in every first round he’s played at this course. Scheffler also ranks 14th this season in putts per hole at 1.695. Given his ability to go low early in tournaments, the +1200 odds for him to lead after Round 1 provide significant value.
Tee it Up
With a star-studded field, the Arnold Palmer Invitational is shaping up to be one of the most competitive events of the season. Ludvig Åberg offers excellent value to win outright, while Matsuyama, Hovland, and Min Woo Lee present strong options for finishing inside their respective tiers. Scottie Scheffler’s past dominance at Bay Hill makes him a great pick to lead after Round 1. With challenging conditions and a high-caliber field, this tournament will be exciting to watch and wager on.
