In practice, that’s a good thing, because you get more choices to work with your points, as well as better conversion rates if you want to take those points to a physical casino instead.

Casino Bonus
Casino Bonuses are BetMGM’s opportunity for extra play. Like any similar option there’s a playthrough requirement, and so it helps to know what it is for a particular offer, as it’s not a universal number.
In the case of BetMGM casino bonus conversion, the valuation gets better once you hit a $5 conversion, as unlike $1 which requires 100 points per $1, the $5 level requires only 400 points, or 80 points per $1 – a 20 percent discount. That discount holds for all levels $5 and above, making it a better deal to wait until you get to that level.
Sports Betting Options
You can also opt for a Bonus Bet, the BetMGM Sports equivalent of the Casino Bonus, allowing you to bet on a sporting event and have a chance to win.
However, they also offer other scenarios, like odds boosts and “No Sweat” tokens (which give you a Bonus Bet if your bet loses).
Marriott Bonvoy Points
You can convert your BetMGM Reward Points to Marriott Bonvoy points at a rate of 1:1, offering you points towards a free hotel stay with Marriott-affiliated hotels. While not as a good conversion rate as the online bonuses, this breaks you out into perks in the physical hotel world, where Marriott is massive.
MGM Resorts
You can convert for MGM Reward Points (the in-person comp dollars for MGM Resorts) at the same rate as the Casino bonus – $5 is 400 points. In that way you actually get a better conversion rate than Caesars, although you may not earn them at the same pace.
But the option to use online or in person at the same conversion rate is appealing.
BetMGM Merch and Other Physical Perks
There’s a bucket that lets you convert your points into redemptions for things like New Era Hats, outdoor speakers and T-shirt hoodies. A one-year subscription to the Atlantic was on offer when we recently reviewed options. So for those who may want something a bit different, this certainly offers a few options, even if the conversion rates that we saw weren’t particularly exciting.
