Here’s a couple of examples of comments I got around this.
That was just irresponsible. You don’t go to the well right after a big hit. You can see the rhythm was completely off. You had zero chance of hitting anything on that machine.

Those here on Flip The Switch understand this by now, but slots don’t react to what happened. The odds of winning something after a big win are 100% the exact same as the odds before the big win. Those Grand jackpots are already baked into the math and the payback the machine is designed to give you.
So when I played this slot in multiple videos consecutively for my series, the fact I got the Grand the first day has no influence on what then happened in the second video. My chances of hitting on the machine hadn’t changed, and there’s no rhythm to be off or on because slots don’t have a pattern.
Why do you pick the machines where the pots have just been emptied?

The pots offer no indication of whether a bonus is about to happen – they can only give an indication of what has previously happened. A full pot traditionally means it’s been awhile since a bonus has happened, but like those progressives that have grown awhile and now have flame animations behind them telling players they’ve grown a lot, it’s not indication, or guarantee, that a win is about to happen.
Your chances are the same whether the pots are empty or full. In fact, take a look at the pay table of various slots and you’ll frequently see that information right there in there. So if you’re relying on pots as a sign you should play a slot, you’re doing what the game makers are hoping you’ll do, but you should know your chances aren’t any better than when they’ve been emptied out.
